Not only was Tom my academic advisor, he was also my advisor for my Senior Thesis. I couln't have got through it without his guidance. I also worked with him on the second volume of the Anthology of Modern American Poetry and he was great to work for. His quirks made classes entertaining.

Excellent teacher! He is a little unclear sometimes but is willing to do whatever it takes to help you understand. He was even willing to help me with other classes on his own time. He often rambles but it doesn't take much to get him back on track. Highly recommended.

I thought this teacher was very very easy. However, I was so bored during his class. All he did was talk and talk. He never let the students really say anything, and he did not let the students think critically at all!

Travisano is interesting in that he's primarily concerned with his students' reactions and emotions about the reading material, rather than his own ideas. He's the quintessential English teacher 'dork,' complete with glasses-fiddling. Trav is great.

Brilliant man! He does have his quirks that include twitching and he is not always clear but for an English major he is great to have as a professor and a mentor!
