Dr. Hoffman is the best. He is so entertaining and his lectures are easy to follow, but you still learn the material well. There are only 4 tests which count for the majority of your grade, and he gives you study guides which cover any questions that will be on the test. He's also an amazing person who is easy to relate to.

The class was easy especially if you've taken te "Ultimate Questions" course in the honors track. Also, taking it as an upper classman was such a relief because the assignments were more like the ones I got in my first philosophy classes.

quizes are easy, but hard to understand in class, horrible orator, stumbles alot and has problems answer any of the classes questions, his study guides are very useful and are found online, the quizes are 100% based off of them, too bad attendence is enforced (4 absences)

Is obviously very knowledgable and passionate about philosophy, however, if you LIKE philosophy, you're gonna find him very very slow-moving. What he says can be very useful and insightful, but very boring for someone who understands the material well. If you have a hard time with philosophy, he may be good to take. Very helpful w/ study guides.
