Math 32 was a great class with professor Schulte. This is my second time taking calc 3 and I did much better this time. My last professor was complete dookie, screw her. Quizzes are every week and you kinda already expect whats going to be on there. He curves the whole course so a 65% might end up being a C. It sucks he's retiring tho.

An amazing & friendly person, but NOT a good teacher. If you're not good at teaching yourself math, not a math major, or not interested in calculus theorems, then take another teacher. He doesn't teach in his lecture he just talks about the material quickly while facing the board & tells random stories. Positive note, he grades ridiculously easy.

Professor Schulte is truly a great lecturer. He's been teaching for a while now so its pretty obvious he knows what he's doing. His main objective in the class is for you to understand the material and he does a fairly good job making sure you arent blindsided for the quizes and exams. 2 midterms, weekly homework, and almost weekly (easy) quizzes

This professor really seems to to care about his students and does his best to get every student to pass. Of course this is a difficult upper division math course and not everyone will pass, but he makes it clear what he expects and is available outside of class, not just during his office house.

Very easy grader. Will go out of his way to make sure you understand the material. Very straightforward with grading. SHow up and you'll pass the exams. Has been known to procrastinate and just give full credit on hmwk. Will give a name quiz at least once a semester. Very knowledgeable about history of Mathematics.

Professor Schulte was great. Work hard, do the homework and pay attention to how to solve the problems. He is very knowledgeable and will explain theory very well, which is very interesting. Be careful though, his emphasis is on whether or not you can solve the problem, not so much how. So practice and pay attention.

Definitely a nice guy, don't get me wrong. Very vague at times, doesn't give enough examples of problems during lecture though. He goes on tangents about random things and goes way in depth with theorems, so if you're a math major, you'll enjoy it, but otherwise, you'll be frustrated. I've heard he's much better one-on-one though.

Schulte is awesome. His humor is not understood by everyone but if you are a positive. outgoing person he is perfect. There were a few people in the class who never laughed at his jokes because they thought he was weird but. It is his way of making everyone comfortable and excited about math. Hes very helpful and encourages everyone.

Schulte is an all around cool guy. I'm a computer engineering major but before I was a declared math major and he almost makes me want to change back. Sure he goes a little in and out on making sense sometimes but I don't know many teachers who don't. I left class feeling i learned more every day and talked to him a couple times in his office

I would like to take somebody else. He is a very nice and friendly, but his lectures are confusing. If you wanna learn math for engineering majors, take somebody else. If you are math major and into theories, you might like him.

Professor Schulte puts in all his effort to make sure his students understand the material. He solves many examples in each chapter and his lectures are clear. Take notes, do the homework, and you'll easily pass. There are 2 midterms, pop quizzes every week, and a cumulative final. The book is necessary for homework, which is graded on effort.

I feel like he didn't really go over anything that someone can't just read from the text book. Don't get me wrong, he's there in his office hours when you need him, but he should go over things he went over in his office hours during lecture..

Only 2 exams, a midterm & final. Plus a paper. Pop quizzes almost every week usually on the last chapter we finished. Hard to study for them. He gets off track a lot, but the class was very interesting. I wouldn't take him for an important math class, but Math 190 was really fun. He's very knowledgeable but super old school and picky on tests.

Really nice, approachable guy. I found the quizzed and exams to be extremely easy (it was almost pathetic), but I know not everyone in my class felt that way. Like others have stated, he can be a bit confusing during lecture. He works fast over examples too, and occasionally I would get lost in the math and be be unable to follow. Still recommend!

He's a nice guy, he really is, and he wants to help his students. But, if you need someone to really explain the step by step processes of problem solving in lecture, in this difficult calc class to begin with, I'd consider a different professor. On the other hand, he grades extremely lenient on exams. Great guy, meh professor.

Easy, laid-back professor. Enthusiastic about math, which is cool. Take if you are a confident self-learner. Don't take if you rely on the professor to teach you the material.

Decent teacher if you understand math. It is a hard subject but he is an easy grader. I'm pretty sure I deserved a D in that class but with all the points he gives you for just attempting the problems I got a B
