This has to be the worst instructor Ive ever had. 1 out of 5 emails to him get replies. A group project in an online class worded sloppily and misleading. Massive content to learn w/ less than 40 seconds to answer questions on quiz and midterms. There was xtra credit in this class but w/out it expect to get a C at best. Completely unprofessional.

Everyone withdrew. It was so bad. I only passed with an A because I devoted hours to studying and even then, the attendance is the reason it went up that high. All he does is lecture. I really recommend taking Porter instead, shes much more understanding and easier

Great person. Can't be lazy in this class. Those who really worked and applied themselves were fine with A's. He's funny and has a good relationship with the kids who work hard.

This teacher likes to lecture. If you are not an auditory learner this isnt the class for you. He talks every single class, the entire class time. There is a lot to read and a lot of quizzes/tests. Study, hard! He grades really hard.

the worst professor i have ever had. more than half the class dropped. i managed to get an A barely and i studied for that class more than any other. i thought the reviews of him were just exaggerated. nope. i only took him because i registered late, if possible dont take him listen to the reviews trust me.

It's possible to get an A but it requires effort and hard work. Reading the textbook and slides (from bvt lab) is a must. It's difficult to understand his own slides. Grades depend on 6 (really 4) group projects, 2 quizzes, midterm, and final (all multiple choice). He's open to extending due dates. Seize all the extra credit opportunities

He is very clear with all of the work that needs to get done by the end of the semester, and he is a very easy grader. Since it is an online class, what he did was outline everything that was due by the end of the semester and its due dates. The only thing I do not like about him, is that he is not too nice with responding to emails but minor thing

Comment:

Grades heavily on quizzes and tests. Doesnt care for excuses and is not that understanding. Lots of group projects. Lectures are helpful but when given the chance to do the extra credit, do it!!

Personally, I hate group projects and he makes all projects group projects. It seems like he believes that his class is the only one we have. Feels like an independent study course. Rather take an online Psych class.

Dr. Jackson is more of a rattler then an actual college professor. He keeps rambling on and going on random tangents and then expects the class to suddenly know what he is talking about. On our most recent midterm, i received the highest grade, which was a 66% with no curving. As a teacher, how can you justify a class average of 43%?

Throughout my whole academic carrier I have never experienced such a terrible professor. He was very heavy on group projects, after a while he would really lack on giving us a deadline for the projects. He also was terrible about posting assignments on web smart & thought putting review notes on web smart was "unnecessary". DON'T take his class!

I have never withdrawn from a class before Dr. Jackson. Not only were his tests hard, he was also unhelpful and mean if you tried to contact him outside of class. Mots of my class dropped. Even though he is knowledgeable and has cool stories, would not recommend.

He lectures... constantly. And there is so much reading. So, so much reading. Also, the quizzes are difficult and what he tells you will be on them is not accurate. Not a bad guy, just a bad class. Do not take this class unless you want to spend all your time on it. Learned some but most of class withdrew or could not pass.
