Comment:

Best professor I've had, especially because she is so sweet, keeps the classes interactive (brings in guests) and emotional as well sometimes. She also does her own work in neuroscience such as her MAP training for PTSD and depression. Insanely smart and eloquent.

Comment:

Tracey Shors is by far one of the best professors at Rutgers! Her class is so easy and the material is taught in a way that makes sense and her exams are based DIRECTLY off the notes on the slides..(the slides are only accessible in class which is why attendance is important) by far the easiest A i've received at Rutgers.

Comment:

Prof. Shors is amazing! I learned a great deal about brain health, and lectures were compelling. She even invited a Monk to class and we got to learn how to meditate! She also has a great sense of humor and is easy to talk to. She's always available during office hours and genuinely cares about her students. I recommend taking Dr. Shors!

Comment:

She is one of my favorite professors. Rather than focusing on grilling you on an exam she is just concerned that you are learning the material and stay interested. You have to show up or you will be lost on the exam but you do not need to study like crazy. Her lectures are fun and interesting.

Avoid her if you think you might miss a class because she does not post slides on sakai. Goes through the slides in the lecture so fast that you have no time to copy them down. Then when you ask her to go back she most likely say uuhhh just google it. overall to do good go to every class take good detailed notes on what she says and whats on slides

She is the best. She does not post slides so you need to attend lectures. However she is so interesting it is not hard to pay attention and take notes. Def go to class. She gives pop credit with in class assignments. Overall, it is not hard to get an A if you go to class and pay attention.

Dr. Shors really made this class one of the most enjoyable I've had at Rutgers. From her own personal research and experience to a variety of guest speakers I enjoyed her class to the fullest. The topics are interesting & her slides are easy to follow (she doesn't post them online). She gives out "pop-quizzes" but nothing hard. Good prof.

all exams are based off lecture slides which she does not put on sakai-- if you show up to class and take notes and listen you will get an A. if you are looking for an in-depth and comprehensive class on abnormal, take prof stein instead. this class is an easy A with a good prof, but does not go super in-depth to a lot of topics.

Dr. Shors is an awesome professor. Her exams are directly from her lectures and slides (she doesn't post them); that being said, go to class! She's very direct and engaging in her lectures. Unlike other professors, she does not bog you down with unnecessary busy work. Lot's of opportunity for extra credit. Take her class, you'll want to learn.

Professor Shors gives a bunch of extra credit and her exams are pretty straight forward. She's really nice and you shouldn't have a problem getting at least a B in this class if you attend regularly. Definitely recommend taking her, this was one of the most interesting classes I have ever taken.

Professor Shors truly love what she does and it shows. Her lectures were interesting, very straightforward. If you go to class, take notes and pay attention, you will have no problem. Also adds in guest speakers which relate to topics covered. One of my favorite classes.

Amazing professor - highly recommend taking this class! Yes, attendance is mandatory to do well in this class as she doesn't post the slides BUT it is worth it. Such an amazing person who is so knowledgable. Her guest speakers are great and this class is much more than just learning and passing which is not hard to do, it has a lot of meaning!

Comment:

Professor Shors is an amazing professor who is clearly passionate about what she does. There are 3 exams that are directly based on the powerpoint. She does not put her slides online so it is important to go to class and take good notes in order to do well on the exams. One of my favorite professors at Rutgers; wants her students to succeed.

Her lectures are super interesting but you have to show up, take notes, and pay attention. If you do all these things and put in a small effort to study you'll do great. Her exams are very straight forward and rather easy. She is extremely knowledgable in the subject and wants everyone to learn. Highly recommend!

Dr. Shors lectures/classes were my favorite during my undergraduate studies! If you come to class, take your notes, participate and study theres no reason you cant earn a solid A in her class! I learned so very much in her class!

Dr. Shors was an awesome choice for Abnormal Psych! Her lectures were engaging, she is extremely well versed in the topic area, and she really wants students to learn the material, and how its applicable to our own lives. Definitely go to lecture because her slides are only an outline of what is taught. Exams are very straightforward.

Great Lectures are common with Dr. Shors. Her presentations are focused and easy to follow. She grades based off exams and a few short papers. Very affable and laid back. Surprisingly uptight when it comes to weed as therapy, but very holistic and spiritual in her views.

Comment:

Take good notes on her lectures and study them a few days before and you'll have no problem doing well. Pop "credit" short essays to see if you come to class, not difficult (just come to class lol). She's really sweet and has a really good fashion sense. I actually learned a lot in this class. Very knowledgeable and respected. Guest speakers too!

She is really cute, and teaches well because she is passionate about it. But you must take notes, bc exam questions come from the notes, but curve is low.
