Comment:

Tressa is an amazing professor! She loves explaining literature, and I enjoy this class so much. L101 covers Homer, Aeschylus, Sophocles, Virgil, Dante, and a touch of Shakespeare. Very engaging and down to Earth. Currently have 113%. Other tags to describe L101: Great feedback, Participate!, Amazing lectures, Study for test or just pay attention.

Comment:

Prof Reynolds is the sweetest. She truly cares about her students. All you have to do is show up and participate it's pretty easy. She brings candy, cookies, pizza etc. She also doesn't make you buy 100 books. Just one that was like $5. No tests but written evaluations and there is only 3 or 4 which are not difficult. I loved her so much!

Comment:

Reynolds can be SO much fun if you have the right class. She does poke fun at her students sometimes, but its funny. Just participate. Her lectures are VERY thorough. I never did the readings, just learned from lecture. Also she moved our class to a conference room which REALLY helped so she might do that more. LOVES cats and purple!!

Our entire semester was used to write two papers. The class time was poorly utilized. She had favorites and it was obvious. She also was not very respectful at all.

Worst Professor in the entire campus, the class i took with her was a low 100 level course , but she made it harder than Calculus III, and when I asked her to point out what's wrong with my paper, she gave crappy reasons and asked me to go the writing enter, even when the center approved my paper.

Under no circumstances should you ever take this professor. She has an unrealistic standard for writing, and unclear expectations for your work. She's also very unprofessional; giving rude non productive feedback. The point of a professor is to be able to help you grow as an intellectual, not stifle your attempts without support.

Avoid professor Reynolds. We started on the wrong foot when she was 45 mins late for our conference when she strictly states both persons need to be ON TIME (I gave attitude so we had conflict then on). She also rarely returns papers, doesn't post or inform you on your grades, and will still give you a C without any proof of where it came from.

At the beginning of the semester I absolutely loved this professor. Mid-way through the semester, she wouldnt reply to any of my emails or tell me my grade. I talked to her about it in person and she told me to stop hassling her about my grade. She doesnt give papers back so you can see your grades on assignments. I would not recommend.

AWFUL. Not clear on expectations. No grade until end of semester so know idea what you have. Gave my entire class a C or lower on the summary, allowed us to redo it, still gave everyone below a C. Ended up with an A in the class but believe it was a last minute attempt to prevent terrible reviews. Do not take! I love& excel at English&she killed it

Professor Reynolds is one of the best teachers I have had. Yes, she is a little out there, but stick with her and you will be glad you did. She is an inspiration and is an astounding person as well as an astounding teacher and has a passion for what she is doing. She is a real treat to have!!

Comment:

Dr. Reynolds gets a bad rep because she is pretty eccentric, but truly, she has a passion for literature and teaching that is contagious. Yes, she loves cats and purple, but she is much more than that. Her reading selections in this 100 level class are some of the best I have experienced in college, and I am now a senior. If you love Lit, take her.

So here's the deal with Prof. Reynolds. Basically, She does not like stupid people. If you try in her class, she will be glad to help you and you will pass. If you don't try or just don't care that much she will not like it. Personally I loved her class. Yes she is a bit strange but she is a really great professor if you make an effort.

Great professor! Very helpful. Values input and class participation, but has little patience for bad students. She has high expectations which, sadly, most students at this college can't meet. If you can't pass her class, you shouldn't be in college.

She is extremely unorganized and never follows the syllabus. The classes are really boring, but she will let you choose your own topics so you are interested in your assignments. She is unclear about what she wants you to do in the assignments which is confusing.

Took this class along with FYS. Her class was very fun. We had candy and pizza and even went to Zesto. She does love cats and purple. No text book for the English part was used. She was available for office appointments and was quick to assist with a problem. Yes, she was a bit disorganized at times but that just added excitement of the class.

She really is an awesome teacher, I was worried when I looked at her ratings before class started. Just be ready to hear about her cats, Jane Austen, and her love for the color purple. She gave my class candy every day and two pizza parties. VERY EASY GOING!!
