Troy was hands down the best, most caring professor I've ever had. He made a boring class one that ended up changing my outlook on life in so many ways. He truly makes you care about the issues presented in class. I loved Troy so much and highly recommend him.

Amazing teacher. EFN seemed like a pain but at the end I loved every minute of it. Small group is really long and boring sometimes but there only once a week. Troy was always interested in what he was talking about and even cried a little when we left. Truly cares about his students. You give a presentation but if you do it, you will get an A.

There aren't enough good things to say about Troy! TAKE HIM FOR EFN and you will actually end up caring about the subject and wanting to make a difference! He is so positive and passionate about this class, and he is a funny, great instructor to have.

Troy is awesome, he is super helpful,responds quick to emails and has a hilarious class. I loved going and just having fun. We learned a lot but had a great time.. I wish he taught more classes at LaX!

Troy is a very down to earth guy. Fairly opinionated, but this class is based around opinions. If you show up to class and talk occasionally, he'll love you, such a nice guy. Just two papers that are easy to write and D2L discussions that take like 5 minutes. Take Troy!!!

Genuinely nice guy who really loves his job. I thought I would hate this class (I did hate lecture but that was with a different professor) but Troy actually made it fun and applicable to real life. Definitely take him if you can!

About the best prof. I've had here at UWL. Makes the class interesting and not stressful. No tests, just two 4 page papers, along with a weekly entry on D2L and some community service. I would suggest taking him if possible.

Very sweet guy! Plays devil's advocate w/you to get you thinking. There's usually discussion writing online every week, which are easy & 2 4pg paper for final. Overall, fun class! Topics were interesting & he makes class fun. Didn't mind waking up early to go to class. Only downfall is the 10hrs of service learning outside of class you have to do.

Troy is the best teacher I have ever had. He legitimately cares about you and what he teaches. His discussion for EFN 205 is by far the best. It's an easy class and his discussions are absolutely the best. He's also just a great guy. I highly recommend him for anything.

you lose 10 points for every class you miss, but he makes class fun an interesting so it was never a problem to wake up and go to his class. he's pretty funny and I think he relates to students well

I would rearrange my ENTIRE SCHEDULE around a class with Troy!!! He is one of the best professors on campus. He is open to other viewpoints and really cares about students. Classroom activities were meaningful and were not a waste of time like in some classes. The two hours flew by every time.
