You would be a fool to leave Kent State without taking Dr. Camden's class. I never thought I would read comics in a literature course, but her class made me see them as literature! I loved that class.

Instead of teaching, she put the movie Matrix on. I decided to read a book instead, and she wasn't happy with that. I didn't pay to watch a movie. Go with someone who actually knows how to teach.

Professor Camden is really one of my favorite professors. I took her for a special topics course titled "Pure Heroines" and it really was life changing. Professor Camden is very passionate about what she believes in, and what she teaches. Her assignments were not cake walks, but after completing them you actually learned A LOT!

My favorite professor at this entire university. She's amazing. But, she knows if you haven't read and she knows if you aren't paying attention, and she won't stand for it. You have to work for the grade, but she's brilliant. An absolute genius

Camden is TOUGH, very intelligent, and a tough grader. I took Intro to Women's Literature and she assigns A LOT of papers but they're mostly 1-2pgs. She also singles ppl out a lot so she can come off mean. However, if you come to class & turn in your work you'll pass. A lot of ppl dropped before giving it a chance.

Dr. Camden is very smart. She cares very much for what she teaches though, and expects you to do the same. It is not the class where you can just sit back and not care. She will call on you and make you participate. Quizzes almost every class, but are easy.

Dr. Camden is an amazing mentor. I discovered so much about literature and myself taking her class. She is very raw- so if honesty is not your cup tea- she may not be the professor for you. If you are looking to learn and develop a deeper identity- take a course from Dr. Camden. You will not be sorry.

Professor Camden's Women's Literature is the best course you will take at Kent State. Most notably, she was my favorite professor. The novels assigned coupled with her insightful lectures provided me with the depth and understanding of literature that inspired me to pursue my degree. Her lectures and presentations are engaging, cogent, and fluid.

The best class I've taken at KSU. The topic of graphic narrative was new to me, & Dr Camden introduced it in such an amazing way. The create-your-own graphic novel proj was awesome, & the presentations were very impressive. This class helped me with my public speaking skills, and my critical reading as well. I highly recommend this teacher & class

She is often late, and often leaves early. She has a lot of knowledge, but does not lecture as much because she has students present every day She is kind of a hard grader (especially if you hold a different viewpoint than her). I equate her difficulty with some 4000 level courses I've taken, instead of an Intro course.

I had her for Women Lit. She gives pop quizzes over what you were suppose to read in class. Those are easy points. The lectures themselves are boring and dry. She talks A LOT and expect her to interupt everything. She's a pretty easy grader. She forgets a lot of assignments. Its an easy class if you can bear her lectures.

One of the best professors I have ever had. She is incredibly well informed and is always interesting. She has made me see everything from Jane Austen to comics books differently. I took her Domestic Novel class where we began with Renaissance women and ended with women comic book writers. I had never thought of anything like this before. Take her!

Well my first comment got removed so here goes again. She is a terrible teacher, often tangentially spewing her feminism despite its lack of connection to the curriculum. She completely deviated from her own course goals and rarely discussed anything helpful for assignments. I would not take her if you can avoid it.

There's too much to say about her. Patronizing to students, rude, expects you to read for 6 hours straight. Vague. Regardless if she's Tenure or not, she needs to be fired. I've never had a professor act the way she did in my 4 years at Kent. Do not take if you want to keep your sanity.

The professor was completely useless. She will pick her favorites and if you aren't one of them, drop the class. She didn't have any understanding of the novels we read and spent the entire class having a conversation with her graduate student about the first lines of the Jane Austen novels. Worst professor ever! Do not take her.

This class showed me something I have never seen at Kent before, two professors teaching together. The dialogue between Dr. Camden and Luca really helped my learning experience and I learned so much from the two of them together. In short, I really believe that this course has changed the way I see the world and helped me see my own narrative.
