Comment:
The course isn't hard, she's just a very dull professor; she talk and talks and talks. She assigns two speeches throughout the semester, one individual and one group. She also assigns a pointless gender assignment and two exams; a midterm and a final. You basically have to teach yourself the information for the midterm and final.

Her lectures.. she literally does not teach you half of what is on her exams and man can she go on and on and on about the simplest thing. Her test are easy enough if you study and keep up with the readings from the text. The course has two speeches, one personal and one group. The group speech.. SUCKS.. especially if you don't like the topic

Vera is adorable but her class is very boring. I do feel like I learned something about public speaking, but there's a lot of random extra material that I feel is a irrelevant. Most of the information learned in this class I'll probably never use again and quickly forget.

The lectures are very boring and take forever. The speeches are not that bad but kinda long. There is a lot of annoying group work but the midtermfinal are pretty easy as long as you study.

Make sure you bring your laptop! Her lectures go on for what seems like hours and don't have anything to do with the class. She requires two speeches which are pretty easy. She also gives a couple essays that have nothing to do with the class. If you look around in class literally everyone is asleep, just such a boring class.

She's a very nice woman. If you show interest in the class (i.e. go up to her after class, make sure she knows who you are), she'll return the generosity with a good grade. seriously just study the review topics for the midterms and finals. I studied day of for both an got passing grades. Be passionate about your speech topics and EYE CONTACT.

While Vera gives a harder SPCM class than some of the other professors, its defintley not a hard class. Never paid attenion to nay of her lectures and still scored a c+ on both finals. As far as speeches go, pick a topic that will interest her. Something about governments and stuff like that and you will get a better grade.

She is an extremely boring teacher make sure to bring your laptop. The assignments are pretty easy as long as you do them you should get a B. The class is not worth the money though. You don't really learn anything.

Lectures were very dull and hard to pay attention to. There was one speech and another group speech at the end of the year, but you still had to speak for almost 10 minutes alone in the group speech. It was nerve wracking at first but the class made me a lot more comfortable. She was very helpful.

Honestly, I never understood how she graded things. I did all of the assignments and did everything she told us to, but apparently I wasn't clear enough for her and recieved D's on most essays. The midterm and final were pretty easy if you at least went to class, but it didn't make up for her oversights in my assignments.

Scalingi is a horrible professor who is completely incomprehensible. She grades based on her moods and believes her tests are "hard, because multiple choice tests are hard" not because they are phrased horribly and photocopied in a way that you cannot read them. I hated her class, it was a waste of time, take someone else if you have to take it.

Scalingi is very easy. She gives a lot of stupid assignments, but come on people...these assignments were completely easy. Too easy. The course isn't designed to be exciting either, but she is very sweet and loves to get into it.

Really, really easy class. She's a really nice person, but her lecture's are so boring. (She can't help it though: the subject isn't exactly exciting.) The tests are easy, as long as you look over the notes before hand. The public speaking part is useful though, if for nothing else but getting experience giving a speech.

I got As on seriously everything but still only got a B+ for the class. It doesn't bug me though because I have never felt more apathetic towards a particular class. This class requires no effort whatsoever. The work is easy even though there is a lot, reading is unnecessary, and notes consist of "who can name situations where you communicate?"

this class is ridiculous and this professor is HORRIBLE. u think it will be an easy b.s. class, not at all. this class gave me more work than any other. i got an A on both presentations, A's on 3 out of 5 homeworks, and 2 B+'s on the others and somehow this women gave me a B, lectures are torture, stay away from this professor. DO NOT TAKE HER.
