Didn't understanding anything taught in the class. Yes, the subject itself is already hard but the prof. doesn't make it any easier. His ppts are verbatim of the textbook. I read the book& slides and still manage to do poorly in the class. His voice is extremely monotone & WILL put you to sleep. Doesn't call on students but wants participation

Comment:

Lectures confusing&boring, but very easy class to pass with an A&hes very nice. Tests are T/F, mult. choice, fill in the blank from definitions&math. Math can seem hard, but formulas are easy to figure out&I SUCK at math. The people who complain about him are the ones who go to class&dont look up from their laptops ever. Lets out early always!

Good professor, really knows his material, gives great examples on each section of work, weekly quizzes, LOTS OF READING. Overall, would take him again if I had to, but like I said, LOTS OF READING. If you do not read the assigned pages every week don't expect to pass.

Sweet old guy but not a great teacher. Doesn't seem to understand when students don't understand material because his writing & explanations are confusing. Has gotten mad at students for emailing or asking questions. Refused to review for exam and post a helpful study guide when it was asked for repeatedly by a student. Boring class but not hard.

Bring a laptop because you will get bored and read the textbook because the tests are difficult. He is probably the sweetest old man ever, but he has a monotone voice that will make you fall asleep. Did terrible on the two tests, but he fell asleep during my final project and received 100%. This class is an easy A, but you will learn nothing.

He is probably one of the nicest and sweetest professors at FIT but this class was not only hard it was so boring as well. He's ppt's are confusing, can't read his handwriting and his lectures are so dull. Gave a 10-question true/false quiz at the beginning of every class on the reading; just read the chapter summaries and know key terms and you'll be fine. His lectures are done straight from the powerpoint and it's extremely boring, so bring a laptop to class and you can do other stuff. Might recommend him if you just need to get a required credit.

He is very soft spoken and his lectures can be a bit boring because the topics aren't crazy interesting, but he's a sweet old man that gives practically no homework and gives very easy quizzes if you study the material he tells you to study. There's one major paper due at the end that's fairly easy. Warning--he gives a department final exam.

Do NOT take! I left the class every week wondering what I learned and still don't know. Midtern, final, 1 quiz, and term project. He does go over your term project and grade it prior if you give in advance. Couldn't work computer, ppt were all over the place, and gave wrong study guide. Didn't even realize kids left class during lecutre

The class was boring but that's because of the subject matter. I don't think he could have done anything to make it less boring. He's really sweet and was always offering help. Basically no homework except for a quiz, midterm, final, and media plan which he'll read and fix with you.

Honestly this class was so boring, he just talked the whole time. The class isn't that hard, but you'll do better if you actually read the textbook thoroughly. A plus was he always ended class about an hour early.

He's a really nice guy and very helpful. I can imagine this class being boring to someone who isn't an advertising major, however I thought he combined all different types of media to effectively communicated ideas. Gives plenty of chances to boost grade with participation and extra credit assignment. All he wants you to do is read and absorb

the good thing about the class is we never needed textbooks, only powerpoints. Very confusing teacher, the tests were hard and pointless questions, there was a final paper at the end of the semester that was also confusing because he doesn't clarify any of his assignments. I was in his office for a week trying to boost my grade up and received a C

While Prof. Reichel is a very sweet man, the class and this subject completely went over my head. Reading fifty page chapters from the text and quizzes every week along with a PowerPoint he read word for word is not exactly the best way to teach. I'd take another professor if you really wanted to learn about advertising.

Professor Reichel is EXTREMELY helpful and nice. He truly does try his best to help you if you ask questions in class or meet with him personally. The overall class material is boring, but that's not his fault. As long as you participate in class, you'll be fine.

Very interesting class! Learned a lot about the advertising world that I hadn't known before. A few assignments but they aren't very hard, and then weekly quizzes that also aren't hard. Definitely a good teacher, he's very nice and understanding.
