Comment:

Great experience. Worked hard to ensure students understood the material. Was very available for office hours. Gave clear examples. Some students struggled because her teaching style requires you to have common sense (many law students lack that).

Comment:

Gibson seems really tough at first, but she mellows down. She is incredibly helpful and is willing to answer your questions both in and out of class. She gives "graphic organizers" to help you understand all of the material. If you don't understand things after she explains it, you're clearly not paying attention.

Comment:

A really bad professor. She is terribly unclear and unorganized. She also runs a C curve in a 3rd year class. In case you aren't aware 3rd year classes hand out "A"'s like candies. She is also extremely unfair and notified students that went to see her that the exam would be only essay while letting the rest of the class think it wouldn't be.

Overall a pretty poor professor. We covered very little material because the professor spent hours on problems with 30 second explanations. She assigns "extra credit" which is actually mandatory because all the nutjob law students do it and therefore has no impact on anyone's final grade. Couldn't have been less clear on what we would be tested on

Professor Gibson is a nice person, however, I learned nothing from the class. Examples written on the board were worthless, just unorganized garble written in a clockwise fashion starting in the upper right portion of the board. Use Power Point!

Comment:

One of my favorite profs. Makes boring material fun to learn. She will go out of her way to help you if you don't understand the material. Can occasionally be confusing, and tedious, but repeatedly going over the material you will really know it for the exam. Take her classes!

Professor Gibson methodically breaks down a somewhat tedious body of material into a learnable format, then helps you apply the more complex issues of the law. Her sense of humor and love of her topic make some dry material much more fun. I think she is a brilliant, dedicated scholar and teacher.

Great - love her - very clear and structured, easy to follow
