I haven't finished this class yet, but the Professor is awesome! I find the way he trashes some author's works entertaining. Amazing material. The TA on the other hand seems so unsure of himself. He's so quiet and really hasn't had much input so far. Weird for someone who's been a TA for that class for 4 years.

Lectures are interesting, if you miss one you're screwed. The readings seem like they were picked because the prof felt readings were required in order to make a course. Readings very difficult to get through. Not helpful, Hard marker, Provides no guidence 4 exams. Not accomadating. Great class, the prof needs to remember what its like 2b a student

Professor Schrauwers is a phenomenal teacher. He goes into great detail and explains things a few times to make sure you understand his points. If you are lazy or don't like attending lecture then he is not the teacher for you because you have to work for your grade. However, if you are interested in learning, his classes are worthwhile.

anth 3220: Great prof if you attend classes and do the readings. he clarifies everything and has a life example for every concept. never boring, always engaging and entertaining. I'm actually upset he is not teaching on the 4000 level. if you are lazy, do not bother. but if you want an intellectually stimulating course he is a perfect prof to have

class is too hard and he asks way too many specific questions for the exam, which means u have to know the readings in detail. some of the readings are very boring and hard to understand. his lectures are okay. he rants about how science is not legitimate.

i think that this prof is full of himself, he made me feel intimidated and could not approach the guy, which is why i received a crappy mark. He also disregarded my research and commented on my writing style instead! what kind of prof does that!?

Great proff, very passionate about his work, has a sense of humor which is very important.. I found he explained this very clearly and always answered to the questions with clarity. Some of his points were a tad outdated and didn't concentrate on counter arguments. Awesome over all, great TA's.. A+

amazing prof. really into the students who display they are intelligent. ideas are complex and academic. not prepared to open your mind? then dont take this class. helpful if you had a real concern/problem. willing to spend time after class talking. seems kinda shy/awkward at first with 1 on 1.

Comment:
Does not explain things well. Needs to work on using logic to support his arguments. I agree with his points, as I am also insanely left-wing, but the way he explains them comes across closed-minded. He simply ignores counter-arguments. His lectures make me angry bk he makes us (the "left") look bad

Surprising at first how little it has to do with the way the course is described "Sex, love and Marriage", more about social constructionism. Overall, hard markers(if too many people answer the same question on a test, it gets marked really brutally). You can't disagree with his theories or you fail

Clever but conceited and arrogant and too vague about expectations from students. Too wrapped up in his self and trashes authors in a childish way. Maybe a good researcher on his own but what is this guy doing having contact with other human beings? Definitely not a people person!
