Comment:

Truly one of the best professors at VCU. Yes, she has her own opinions but her class would be super boring if she didn't and she respects others opinions even if they aren't the same as hers. She will do anything to help her students get a good grade. I highly recommend taking any of her classes.

I love Mrs. Fagan. She's has a lot of experience in her field. Sometimes she gets a little flustered and overwhelmed. But if you come to class, visit office hours and such, SHOW HER that you're trying, she'll HELP YOU. Also, keep up with assignments and workshops for this class, though. Once you fall behind, it's difficult to get caught back up.

She really does care about her students and if you go to her office hours and all that, then she'll help..but sometimes it's too hard to find time. She knows what she's talking about, I think she just gets overwelmed with stuff...she's not clear on her expectations and her grading doesnt always make sense. But the class is do-able.

GREAT professor, she really cares about her students. She is a bit hard at first ONLY bc she wants to see that you will take the class seriously. She will do everything possible to help you pass this class and make it as enjoyable as possible. I HIGHLY suggest taking her for English 200!!!!

She, simply, is set in her ways. She cannot accept criticism in any form, which is a shame because listening to the numerous complaints of students would help to improve the class. I find myself falling asleep almost every class; the only reason I attend is because I don't want to miss any more of those random one question attendance quizzes.

Overall, not a bad class at all. As an English major, I was pleasantly surprised at variety of material, though I had read some in high school. My only advice is to DO THE ONLINE DISCUSSIONS and you'll get an A. Oh yeah, and beware: there's a 4 or 5 question pop quiz about once a week... otherwise, it was overall a pretty easy class.

People are too hard on this lady. Mrs.****an is really nice, and her class is easy so long as you go, read the stories and do your postings. She does do pop quizzes and stuff so you do actually want to GO to class. She curves, and gave a lot of extra credit at the end of the semester. She does get a little flustered sometimes, though.

Fagan is a horrible prof! She is very boring. She won't (can't?) use the mic in a large lecture hall so you can't hear her unless you sit right up front. There is no telling what will show up on the exams because her lecturs are so bad, and that bit about all exams being multiple choice on the syllabus? Nuh-uh. Doesn't happen.

I had Prof Fagan Fall 06 for Engl 215: Readings in Lit. Now I chose to take her for Engl 200, and she can be very helpful, but it helps if you est some sort of relationship with her too. She rambles a lot in class & gives confusing directions, but after all, she is pretty old. I like her though.

Very disorganized and is no help at all. Everytime I asked her a question she kind of glared at me then gave me some sort answer that didn't help me at all. I asked her about an assignment I wasn't sure about and her answer was "just write it" definitely one to aviod

This class is boring and totally pointless. I feel like I'm in middle school again. The class is really easy as long as you go to class because she gives "pop" quizzes for attendance...its like one every week. Also grades mainly consist of 2 essay discussions on BB once a week. Its a pain to do but its like "what's the characters name?" BUSY WORK!
