The lack of respect demonstrated by Amy in class and during a production process is incomprehensible. The fact that Amy is such a prominent theatre professor is probably the departments greatest downfall. She has told students that she no longer enjoys working for Gustavus, and her teaching and directing style SCREAM I dont care anymore

This prof is the most UNORGANIZED person in the world. She will give you a new 'schedule' every week. I ended up with eight schedules, and half the time she doesn't follow them anyway! She is scatterbrained and picks favorites. Also kinda racist, very pompous, and rarely listens to anyone's opinion other then her own.

Class was not taught well. Professor seemed intelligent, but seemed to prefer male students' input even though she is teaching social justice. Was petty from time to time. I took the class last year, forgot to turn in the final paper, and still got an A.

I very much disliked this course. Amy was very unclear about what she wanted in a paper, and her writing style is contradictory to anything other writing classes have taught. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS FROM HER, THE CLASS WAS POINTLESS. Doesn't know how to teach writing. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS EVER. Not worth the money. Surprised she is even at this college.

I truly believe that Amy is a good person who is struggling with some severe insecurities about herself. She frequently comes to class unprepared, her office is incredibly unorganized, she isn't open to opinions that differ from her own, and openly gossips about students. Scatterbrained and up-front to the point of rudeness. Hard to talk to.

Professor: she's at least tolerable if you get past her blatant lack of prep. She's passionate, but shows very little effort in trying to convey anything else but her own opinions. Directing: recently, "values opinions" as long as they validate her own. The result = mediocre show that comes together last minute and is hellbent on criticism.

Amy is ... oh, what can one say? She lashes out frequently at students, comes unprepared to class everyday, and does gossip openly about her pupils. She is hypocritical, close-minded and so tunnel-visioned that she is impossible to collaborate with. I have never met someone less worthy of tenure or employment in general. No exaggeration. AVOID!
