Comment:

I took Royappa for the Chemistry 1 Lab and it wasn't bad, mainly because the class is based on following instructions in the lab manual. He is pretty entertaining, but a frustrating grader. Seemed nearly impossible to make an A on a lab report, because he took 3, 4 or 5 points off for the smallest things. Nice guy though who will help if needed.

Comment:

Dr. Royappa is a very sweet guy and is very energetic in his lectures which made the class more amusing. The problem with this class is that it was difficult to pass. The things he covered in class were only a little bit helpful on the exam. Chem success was a full waste of everybodys time. I studied hard for the tests but seemed to always fail.

Entertaining Professor, but his lectures and homework werent very helpful for the test. He makes it hard to pass the test because we never know what type of questions will be on the test. Chem success was mandatory but didnt help much. Chem success basically just existed to lower our grade.

Sweet Professor but hated how he graded students. Lectures and homework werent super helpful for the exams. Sometimes he would put random stuff that wasnt covered in class on the test.

I would understand how some people rated him a 5/5. He is a very entertaining guy, but his tests are very hard. One thing that I did not like about this class was Chem success. It didnt really aid in helping me pass the class, but it was mandatory. He also puts questions on the tests that he didnt even talk about class, which is totally unfair.

Professor is eager to teach about chemistry, but makes it impossible for many students to pass. He says that a lot of students are passing his class, but its totally not true. The average is higher than expected because there are those that get As on the tests and then many others get below average. Really hates chem success.

Youre graded on chem success work, exams, and online homework. Every chem success, there would be a quiz. If you dont get the material, then youll get a bad grade on the chem success quizzes. online homework was easy. His lectures and homework didnt really correspond with the things on the test, which made it difficult to pass the exam.

This class seemed easy except that he made the tests a bit hard. Hes a funny guy and nice guy but doesnt seem to care about the grades of students. Chem success was a thing that was supposed to help students. It didnt help me with chemistry at all.

Dont normally give reviews or rate anything, but I feel like I had to. Just got done taking my final exam for this class and wanted to rate this professor. He wasnt very aware of the amount of students struggling in the class. Study guides are no help and are nothing like the test. Chem success was the worst and was useless.

Chem success was kind of useless tbh. It didnt really help with anything. He seems to be oblivious of the fact that a lot of students are struggling in his class. It seemed like an easy subject, but he made the tests kind of difficult. He even put questions on the tests that wasnt even covered in class. I studied hours for a test, yet failed it.
