class is entirely lecture and class discussion. 3 Projects at the VERY end of semester. I do have to say though, Barry is a wonderful man to listen to, definitely has a lot of experience in the teaching field and has a lot of good knowledge to share. Definitely take. He's a brilliant speaker and left me thinking after I left class every day.

Comment:

Finkelman is a very humble professor, probably the best male EDU prof out there. He has a very old school style & is dedicated to seeing great teachers come out the program. You will do a moderate amount of work & while he is brutally honest, he's also only trying to help you improve. Definitely recommend for those who want to be great teachers

What a disaster! I don't need to watch him pick his nose every class, thank you very much. Aside for this distracting detail, Finkleman likes to talk. A lot. And refuses to listen to any of his students' contributions in class. For a class on human relations that tries to encourage better ways of communicating, he fails. Get class out of the way...

he gives a paper, a project, and a final. show up in class, participate a lil and study for the final from the book some point and do study what he says to study cuz its all in the final. he doesnt teach much rather than talk but just go to class and you'll do fine

guys get a's and girls don't. he isn't helpful from an education standpoint. Yes, its good that he only gives one test and a paper.. but you have no idea what you are getting on the final because he barely taught the class.. i had an a until the final that i wasn't prepared for from the class.

Kind of an ass. Don't expect to get anything out the class - just show up, listen to him rant, and go home. Don't raise your hand, because he doesn't want to hear it, and he'll bite your head off. But not a bad guy. Just kind of an ass.

His is a very easy class, but frustrating because you won't get any grades til the last couple weeks of the class. He does like to hear himself talk but it isn't too horrible, the book is only needed to memorize stuff out of for the final, so share with a friend or ten and you'll be better off

Don't buy the textbook!! He never uses it, and you have to get it from Ed's so you can't even sell it back! His class is pointless and boring but an easy A. He doesn't like hearing your opinion though, he will cut you off - very annoying. He's boring.. good luck! easy though, just go to class.

This class is s common sense class on how to relate with others. If you take good notes and skim the chapters you'll be fine on the final. Only 1 paper and group presentation. Come to class and take notes and you'll be fine.

An approachable man, but his main failing lies in the fact that he offers no real outline for course requirements. I was confused and frustrated the entire semester because I never really knew what I was expected to do. He changed requirements almost every week, and never used the textbook for the class.

He's great. Fun, easy class. He challenges you, but with a fun atmosphere. You'd have to not show up to fail. He does NOT spit. Give this guy a chance. Might turn out to be your best grade and favorite class.
