Professor Hagen is a nice guy, and the groupwork/logbooks aren't all that hard. However, be prepared to have to study up on the literature portions of the CIV essay tests. At least 1/2 of the test should be lit-related. Your grade depends on it. Oh, and check the syllabus on a regular basis, just to keep track of what assignment due dates.

I took a film class with him and it was the best class I ever had. I absolutely loved him after that. I think lectures can be a tad bit boring but he is a good guy and a normal guy especially for an English professor.
