Awful teacher, if you're an athlete he will do nothing at all to work with you. He acts like he will help you but he won't and his class is none less than boring. He doesn't shut up the whole class and never lets out early. No doubt in my mind this class should not be taken with him. Take it online!

Good teacher, he will help you understand things and gives a lot of fun facts. However there are syllabus issues with dates, and if you have something happen that holds you out of class besides a doctor, you can only receive an F on the missed test or assignment, he's not understanding when it comes to things like that. Only downside to him.

Good class. I went to class, took notes and did fine. He was fair and a good teacher. Seemed like the only folks who didn't do well were consistently late or absent or never did their work. If you have a question just ask and he will help. Usually has a good or semi funny joke or two for class.

If you attend all classes and take notes, you can easily pass his test. If you miss or don't take notes, you will fail just as easily. He doesn't say much about rule breaking but if you use your phone or interrupt, he quietly gives you a 0 for the day.

Great teacher, is willing to help you if you put effort into his class. He is weird, good looking, but overall great man and would recommend him to others. Don't come in late, turn work in late, skip class. Do take careful notes!

Mr. Catchings is hilarious! His class is easy if you take notes and study. Do not use your cell phone (he does not like that but think about how you would feel if you were talking and someone was on their phone) He tells a joke almost every class. Great teacher. Cares alot about students.

Great teacher!!!! Best History teacher at SUSCC he tells it like a story so its not borin. :-) You need to cmoe to class and take good notes, You do your part and you should make a good grade because he is really great at explaining things so you can understand.

He is a great teacher and wonderful person. He is helpful, but only if you make an attempt by showing up to class and putting forth an effort. His jokes can be a little corny, but overall I would recommend him for.
