Comment:

I was in another Advanced Comp and the instructor said she uses all of Professor Hays's material, so I dropped her and came to him. It was worth it. Extremely knowledgeable, great feedback throughout the whole class. It was the best paper I ever wrote. And he is super cool, funny, with long hair, tattoos, and cool shoes.

He was an amazing English professor, and I am typically a student that struggles in English. He taught me a lot, and I have a lot of respect for the man. His classes are not super difficult, but you definitely have to put in a lot of time and effort if you want an A.

I took him for Intro to lit and I am also taking him for advanced comp. He is a really great guy, very respected. He does care and that is huge, ask him if you are confused on something!! You will need the book but it isn't that hard, just a lot of reading. His teaching is awesome! Highly think you should take him at least once.

He is hands down the absolute best English teacher I've ever had! The way he teaches and the freedom in writing that he allows is amazing. What ever negative mood I am in from my College lit 2 class completely fades away after an hour with Brian.

Writing papers was never my strong point, so I wasnt looking forward to this class. Luckily, Brian made it totally bearable. Papers are broken down into parts (some parts are even done in class), and hes totally willing to help you every step of the way. He gives thorough feedback on rough drafts. As an added bonus, he has a great sense of humor!

I loved his class. I hate writing papers but he broke it down and made it easy, and to my surprise I got all As. Hes so funny too. I would most definitely recommend taking his class!

One of the best english teachers I had, he was very helpful and gave clear direction for the online assignments. I would recommend taking him because he will help you write some of the best papers you will write. There were only 4 papers due in the semester but there were journals due weekly, so it was not bad at all. Definitely take him.

Brain is an amazing teacher. He is very easy to get along with too. ENG 255 is not a fun class but he tries to make it somewhat interesting. As long as you put forth the effort and study for the tests, which are not hard at all, this class is an easy A.

I just finished with the second session College Writing with Professor Brian. If anyone is looking for the best teacher, take him. We did eight papers and other stuff in five weeks, and he made it so easy and so fun. I have to go back to my own college now, and I wish there were professors there like him.

I have him right now for Adv Comp online. He has been a little helpful, but horribly slow with returning assignments. There are 2 days left in the semester and he has yet to return my rough draft or peer reviews. My fomal outline was returned the day before the rough draft was due. I hate waiting until the last minute to work on things.
