Awful with timely grading. Grading is very partial for each student. Does not follow grading criteria.

She is extremely nice. She will go above and beyond to help her students. She is one of those teachers that you can call her by her first name. She grades easy and she genuinely cares about her students well being. She talks, A LOT. Seems very liberal. Attendance is "mandatory" but I don't think she follows it. Don't buy the textbook.

Brilliant woman with a lot of experience and information to back up the research. I would take any class she offers because she uses the techniques that she teaches for ELLs and makes the classes fascinating. Easy to contact with an email and to schedule office time with as well. Absolutely awesome!!

She is a very nice lady. The class is really pretty simple. However, it is incredibly boring and I felt like I didn't learn a single thing. The only thing you talk about is how to be tolerant towards others, but not any real applicable skills. Easy A or B.

she was very very disorganized, and hard to understand at times. Also she was very slow on getting assignments back to you, and the last few weeks of the semester are really hectic, she assigns way to much within the last few weeks of class.

Interesting Class. Professor was fun, but a bit disorganized at times. The topic seemed to have almost to too much information to really cover it well in one semester and to really be able to discuss it with any depth.

A great teacher. Hr instructions are straight forward and if you take the time to just talk to her after class or during office hours you'll find that she is a great human being as well.

This was a class that I actually looked forward to going to. Although we rarely ever got homework, when we did the assignments were usually long. But if you follow the directions which to me was very clear, this class is a very easy A. I think I ended up with a 97%. By the way... there was no final.

Nice person, but not the best teacher. She is extremely unorganized and its so hard to know what she wants from assignments. Her presentations/notes/book readings are often unrelated and I have a tough time knowing what she wants.I don't feel like I learn much usable information. She can also be very boring for night classes. Tough grader on essays

She has an Italian accent, and that was very hard for me to understand. Also, the information she gave us was essentially common sense. I didn't learn anything from her except how to be bored for an hour 15 twice a week.

All you have to do is follow her directions (yes she gives them) and you'll get As. I followed the directions entirely and got 100s on all of my papers. The directions are clear but not simple.

Carla is a nice person and very knowledgable, but she can be tough about grading essays. I feel that her lectures are very unorganized and sometimes they don't relate to what we are reading in the book. I hate not knowing exactly what is expected of me in her class.
