Comment:

Class was more on the memorizing side of learning. She give you good tools to help you along the way, like handouts. She does in class drills to help you learn the material, and even tries to schedule other out of class times to help you study! This class is mainly up to you though, keep up with your tests and use quizlet for flashcards!!

Comment:

Great professor. Communicates well and provides lots of extra credit. However, Medical Terminology seems like a self-paced class so you're very welcomed to get ahead but can easily fall way behind. If you do she will offer help outside class if you reach out to her. Make sure she puts in your extra credit for every unit you finish.

Comment:

Very nice professor! She's very honest on what's on the exams and accessible whenever you need it. It's a memorization class, but she makes it really fun and shares ways she remembers terms which are very helpful.

I really enjoyed this professor. She is very caring and works very hard to ensure that people pass. She gives extra credit (you actually have to go to class for it) and is VERY honest about what you will be tested on. This class does take a lot of time studying, but it is totally doable. Just study and make flash cards. Fun class!

Omg! I cant even tell you how much I loved this teacher! She single handedly saved my grade and was there for me when I made a stupid mistake. I would definitely recommend this teacher if you arent a serial class skipper lol. She is very knowledgeable and is able to give you a clear direction! Thank you Ms Thomas For everything! She has a lot of "gotcha" questions. For example, gives 4 words that are 4-5 syllables and asks "Which word is spelled incorrectly?" Really? I thought I was taking a medical class, not a spelling class. No one in a real life setting will care if you can't spell rhabdomyosarcoma correctly. Tell me what it is and how/why it's important.

Im a students who makes good grades does work on time and never misses class. But if you are not a good test taker do not take this class. This class is based on the 5 exams you take. The quizzes you take everyday doesnt help at all. So if you are not a good test taker do not take this class you will fail. She doesnt offer extra credit to help.

This is probably one of my most favorite teachers at santa fe. She literally gives you the answers for each quiz (which are so easy). She drops like 6 quizzes out of 12 but theyre extremely easy. Theres 5 tests and one final. Amazing teacher.

Ms. Thomas goes above and beyond to help her students understand the material. She has a wonderful attitude and always brings a smile to my face. If I could take her for every class I would. Study your questions and objectives, attend class and you should pass with no problems!

She is a great professor and willing to help outside of class. There are quizzes every class, but 10 of them are kept for the final grade. Her lectures always involve some type of interaction with the class. She also offers extra credit for each unit exam. I highly recommend Mrs. Thomas!

Her lectures helped me understand the material after reading the textbook. You do have to use the textbook a ton and study a lot. There are quizzes every class, but at least 4-6 are dropped and 10 are kept. She does lectures as well as group work and demonstrations. She cares about all of her students success and will help however she can.

Mrs. Thomas was awesome! She is spunky and funny in class. Her lectures always are interactive and have some kind of activity with it. Most definitely would recommend her to everyone.

Thomas is the best teacher I've ever had. She is so caring and really wants her students to succeed. She makes the lectures fun and relatable to make them a little bit easier. Every day we didn't have a test, we took a 5 to 6 question quiz that was kind of annoying, but helped in the long run. If you don't understand something, she'll help explain

Ms. Thomas was by far my favorite professor at Santa Fe! She made the class so interesting. It was what I was looking forward to every Monday and Wednesday. She knows exactly what she is talking about and it shows. Never opens the book, goes right off her head. Group activities are big so make sure you're in class. Study and you'll pass with an A!

She teaches this class in such an interactive way that you learn and remember the material for quizzes and exams. She is very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. If you want to have a good foundation in Health Science, take this class and medical terminology with her.

Comment:

Do not take if you're not ready to put in the work. Studying is a necessity to pass. Tests every Tuesday on a new chapter. The class is all memorization. I made flashcards every week and had to study anywhere from 150-300 a week. If thats not a problem for you then the class won't be a problem. She is a nice teacher and very helpful.

Exam every Tuesday, so be ready. Amazing teacher though, love her! Stay on top of the chapters and terms and you will do just fine! Every Thursday you get on the board and practice the terms, and then on Tuesday is the quiz for it. Attendance is not mandatory or part of the grade, but you have to take the quiz somehow so you do have to come Tuesday
