This class was horrible. She was completely unorganized. She doesn't explain any assignments and expects you to know how to do everything already. She assigns a huge research presentation teaching college students when we want to be elementary school teachers. Waste of time! I did not learn anything useful

I did not learn anything other than this instructor has a short temper as a teacher. Mediocre prof not able to teach anything of substance well. I think she just wants to retire. And she should.

Horrible professor. Shes in a field where most students want to teach and may want to look up to her but shes rude and dry at points. Does not post grades therefore you dont know until the end of the semester. When you ask her she said idk and just dont take her theres better professors than her.

very tough professor, but fair grader if you put in the work. She challenges you because she knows you can do better. Very helpful if you see her during office hours and speak with her personally. Do not take if you do not enjoy extensive research assignments. She dedicates herself to her profession and expects the most from all of her students.

I think it's interesting how many people enjoy Ms. Davis as a professor. I have had her for this class and LIBS 2000 and both were taught mediocre. She's all over the place, plain rude sometimes, and definitely makes you feel as though you are six years old. I could keep going. But,not enough space. Overall, take with someone else.

I am completely disappointed! She is not a helpful advisor and nor is she a good professor. If you are a student wanting to be taught like a 6 year old then take her. She is over organized where it's unorganized! Way to much work where I didn't learn a thing! OCD! She really made me question me career choice! She is what is wrong with our education

Professor Davis is a great teacher. She does alot of hands on group work. She also lets you revise any journals and essays to get your points. Attendance is mandatory because most of your points are during class.

Very nice person. Felt lost in almost every class because of her "hands on" learning approach. If you want to understand the material be prepared to read and learn concepts on your own. She lectures only a handful of times and her lectures are packed with too much info to retain successfully. Group work for almost every class.

Really shows she cares. If you miss class, expect an assignment sent home with you the next class, covering what you missed, except more difficult than the task in class! A few essays but not too difficult. Has VERY unique and fun teaching style.

Davis is a very good instructor that clearly outlines what she expects from you. Every assignment is mandatory, and you will get an automatic fail if you do not turn in an assignment, no matter how small. That being said, she happily accepts late work. Also, if you plan on taking her, read the book. like really.

She is great! There is so much work but you are able to revise everything. If you do everything and revise you will get an A. Don't drop the ball and turn everything in. She is helpful. Best professor ever

Davis is very nice and cares a lot about her students. There is a lot of group work in the class which can be irritating but better than a boring lecture I guess. Class is pretty easy and she lets you rewrite assignments which is a plus. You have a journal every week which is what your grade is mostly based on, so book is required!

A lot of writing, but the revisions are a huge plus. More current articles and videos would be helpful. Very conservative professor who loves to sing her own praises. Do a thorough job on your research paper, attend every class and revise all essays will calculate to an A. Otherwise take an easier class. She expects a lot from her students.

I LOVE DAVIS! She is VERY organized and does fun group work to make class interesting. You MUST go to class, takes attendance. A lot of writing and reading but it's an interesting class. She is very clear about due dates and assignments. Always willing to help. Doesn't have internet at home, email her while she's on campus.

Firtly, the things people complain about in regard to this teacher is just hilarious in how ridiculous it is. Ignore them. Secondly, Dr. Davis is very organized, very fair, very honest, and has a strict ethical code that she follows to the T. She does not play favorites. Yes, her classes require a lot of writing, but guess what? That's teaching.

Such a hard class, be ready to have no life. Tons of essays, but she offers revisions for all of them. She also takes the time to go through and advise all her students. Very strict, but also very helpful, on topic and prepared. I highly recommend her for 3000 because the class has so much work, and her organization makes it easy to stay on track.

I like Dr. Davis a lot. She knows pretty much everything about everything. I've taken LIBS 3000 and 4960 from her and would take more if I could. (I do recommend Stryker for 4800 though) There is a fair amount of writing in both courses, but she really has students' interests at heart. It's almost impossible to get a bad grade if you try not to.

Overall the class is tough...but Mrs. Davis makes it easier because she is extremely helpful. The key points are working hard, revise your work, ask questions and arrive to class on time. It really isn't that difficult. I like the fact that she is very clear with her instructions. GREAT TEACHER! If you want to learn...take her!
