I couldn't figure out why my transcript was showing finance. All this time I thought I was sitting in a Chinese language class. Take this class only if you know Chinese, or if you want to learn Chinese. I really didn't understand anything he said, but I got an A.

He has a horrible accent and has a strict attendence policy but overall he is a fair-grader. Class is all about group projects and one Mid-Term that is not difficult at all. A suggestion for anyone taking this class is to do a lot of research for your assignments and he will reward you.

Not as bad as many think. Just read the chpaters and do the online hw that he gives as a study guide. the last quiz and test were almost identical to the questions and answers he gave online so study them and you should be ok

Nice person, but terrible teacher. He has a thick accent, and he just goes through the pwrpnt slides and reads them. I didn't learn anything from him. You will have to learn on your own from the book. He has a midterm and a final (non cumulative) and gives study guides (very helpful). If you must take him, use the study guides and book.

Possibly the worst teacher I've ever had. You can't understand him because of his stong accent and his hand writing is chicken scratch. If you take this class read the book a lot because his teaching will not help you learn the material

At the time you take the class, you will hate him. He gives lots of projects and papers to write. He’s lectures are boring and you will not understand anything. But, he is the only teacher that you would learn from. The projects done for this class will teach you everything you need to know for the upper finance couses. He's an easy grader.

Very intelligent professor but his method of conducting a class is unstructured. No direction. Lots of writing to turn in(including an individual project that’s 20pgs SINGLE spaced. No need to buy a textbook. No tests so no memorization. But you have to know your finance formulas to write those papers so get an early start.
