How the hell is this a 100-level class?! He expects everyone who takes his class to have taken Physics, Trig, and Calc in high school. The supposedly "easy" PRS questions sometimes require 4 or 5 different steps of calculus, despite the fact that there is no pre-req for it! Could have been very interesting, but it just sucked. Don't take it!!

This is a toss up. He's pretty boring, he expects you to be a mathematician, and you're not going to learn a whole lot because astronomy is the most boring thing in the world but... he's a funny guy, he lets you use cheat sheets on tests, and if you even show up for PRS you get 100%. Not entertaining but not awful.

This class shouldn't be this hard. The tests suck. The curves and prs help, but it still sucks. Lectures are boring at times, but his crazy antics will have you laughing time and time again.

He is old and boring and his test are hard, however the class is easy. If you show up to class and use PRS, you'll get 20% of your grade as 100%. His tests are hard but has a crazy curve (went from a 60% to a 85% on a test). Also lets you drop your lowest test score.

He's a super hard teacher!! His tests are very hard. I pretty much had to learn everything on my own. I don't recommend taking him as a teacher. He is a pretty funny man though- I'll give him credit for that.

Sawicki is horrible at explaining the concepts of physics. He's never very prepared for his lectures, and he makes you go to take PRS quizzes, even though his lectures suck. The result? Two hundred pissed off and talkative people who don't want to be there. Good luck hearing him, he's not good with a mic. Doesn't go out of way to help you, either.

wow, what can i say? worst experience ever in a class room? maybe that's a little harsh but thats how it is. The tests are easy, but be prepared to put the time in because you'll need to learn the material on your own from the book
