Comment:

Dr. Flood is a great professor. She is knowledgeable about the subjects she teaches. That being said, she does skip around quite a bit so be prepared to have some beforehand knowledge about American History. She goes in depth on the topics shes teaching- but sometimes she has to skip around. Her tests are hard. They are all short answer/essay.

Chrissy is such a sweetheart! I've taken two of her classes and they are great! She does want you to read, though you don't always have to. She is caring and always willing to help. Her tests can be a bit hard, and she is a bit of a tough grader; she knows her stuff and expects you to learn. Tests and final are essays, but final is take home.

Take Professor Flood if you are interested in North Carolina History. She is so passionate about History and it shows through her amazing lectures. She is always in a good mood and her laugh is contagious - Take her and you wont be sorry you did.

Great online class! Good professor, fair grader. Helped to explain why, gave funny stories to accompany her narrated powerpoints. Stopped reading the primary source book out of boredom, but my grade didn't suffer. Good professor! Recommend for sure!

Flood is a super kind teacher. she is a bit odd and can be goofy but she knows her history and if she is not stopped she will go on and on. She is very easy to talk to and super kind and understanding of her students issues. the only neg. is that she takes a long time or never gives back grades. other than that loved her class!!

There are a few problems with her: She grades speeches slowly. She grades exams slowly. She seems to nag on you for little things in speeches. She told me to stop playing with my bangs during my speech-my hair fell in my face. So she gave me an 89. I was plagued by the evil 89 in her class! She can be funny and entertaining! DISTRACT HER!

Not sure this teacher operates on the same world. Be extremely prepared for subjective grading.Her communication is extremely poor, you can send her an email and expect no reply from her. It takes her way too long to grade speeches and you always get them after your next speech so you cant prepare accordingly. Honestly worthless.

She is a great proffessor. I mean I am so not a history person and it was basically a review from what I learned in US history in high school plus more. I could understand it easy and I didnt even study hard for the test yet I still made a 82(maybe 85). All I read was something about one person the rest I actually remembered for when she lectured

Chrissy is a great professor, very relaxed and fun-loving. She will work with you. If you take notes, you should do relatively well on her tests- be SPECIFIC! Who, what, when, where, why, how? I had approximately a B average before the final take home exam. I wrote 13 pages and miraculously made an A+ (I'm positive it was b/c of my begging!).

She is a great teacher and her lectures are interesting. Before her class, I HATED history. I never did well in high school, but I got an A in her class! If you come to class and take notes, you do not need the text. Her tests are straight forward. She's awesome!
