Comment:
This class was okay. The lectures are written, not recorded, and they are riddled with grammatical errors. Also, when I asked for a source for some information he cited, I got an opinion piece for a newspaper. Not sure how credible he is if he uses opinion pieces as fact. Easy pass if you do the work

Craig is by far the best prof I have had at EMU. The way he conducts his classes are straight forward and honest. He is open to discussion and encourages class participation. He is extremely enthusiastic about his work. He also will work with you if you make yourself known. He is real and approachable, and he stays in his khakis.

I liked him, for the most part. He was intelligent, charming, and interesting. However, I asked him for a letter of recommendation when I was about to graduate, and he acted like he didn't know who I was (I took three of his classes!). I called him out on it, and he was super-apologetic, but I was kind of P.O.d about the whole thing.

It's an easy class and he's a decent prof but not very helpful/accessible and it's very discouraging to find someone in an English department who doesn't know how to use a spellchecker. The papers we wrote were on really horrible film versions of Shakespeare's plays and your grade will suffer if you don't share his opinions on them.

I'm sure he's awesome in the classroom...just don't take online classes with him. They take up way to much time. I spend more time worrying about the comments I have to post online than reading the text.

I loved this teacher! He yelled at some students who talked in class (they deserved it!). I will take another class from him!

Not a fan of him. Completely unprofessional. Not only was he unclear with his lectures, but he was rude and short with his students. He also blew a gasket and cursed the class out. He tried to be nice after that (he probably would be in a lot of trouble after the way he acted, to be honest), but it wasn't sincere. I wouldn't refer others to him.

FANTASTIC PROF!!! By far the best one I have had since I have gotten to EMU. Highly recommend. If you are at all interested in Shakespeare, this is the guy to have. Motivated, nice, and very, very helpful.

Great talker, funny, charming, but expectations are unclear and coverage of major voices in contemporary theory was weak.

While I still don't understand how his attractiveness relates to his being a good instructor, he is very knowledgeable and approachable. He also took our class on a field trip to Stratford, Ontario...it was great, moreso because he took the time to do that! Great teacher.

This was a fairly hard class for me. Craig knows ALOT and sometimes I think he forgets that many of us aren't so knowledgeable. He seems like a really nice, fair guy though. This class does require 2 long papers and lots of reading. Pay attention!!! Good prof though :)

Craig is so smart that sometimes things will go over your head, but despite what I'd heard he is a genuinely nice guy- he is also pretty cute and I like how he dresses! You do have to work in his class-don't take if you just want a blowoff class

craig is great and cute in his little dockers and collared shirts. he might seem intimidating at first, but he's actually very laid back and a really great guy..he's the kind of prof you wanna get **** at the bar with while discussing shakespeare...

I like Dionne. He's very knowledgable and engaging. I've had a couple classes with him. He's tough, but fair. He's also kinda cute, in a dorky sorta way.
