Dr. Olinger is easily my favorite Bible teacher at Bob Jones, and probably my second favorite teacher I've ever had. He gives very interesting and engaging lectures, he's open and willing to listen to his students, he rewards hard work, and he's a fair grader. This was one of the few classes I really looked forward to going to.

Get ready to sit through lectures and not get tested over them. He tests over the book material, and his tests can be insane. The verse quizzes can be ridiculous, and unlike other profs he doesn't split them up to give you the best shot at doing well. If you can take the class from someone else, do it.

Teachers at BJ could learn a lot from Olinger. He's interesting, he's funny and he's not afraid to talk about issues that are "indoctrinated" into the whole fundamentalist movement (i.e. CCM, movies, etc.). Very practical - learned a lot.
