Dr. Aka is such an easy professor if you study and practice doing math outside the class. I had taken math115 with dr. Aka and took him again in math167 and I will take math227 with him in spring.

Professor Aka is truly a great professor, he is incredibly intelligent which could be a common factor among other college professors but it is his ability to teach in such detail so that it is easy to understand that differentiates him from the rest.

aka is incredible, hands down. he is a unique math professor in that he can boil procedures down to easy to understand step-by-step explanations. he doesn't get distracted or go on tangents, altho he tells great stories! he has been teaching for decades and has mastered the art of teaching if you ask me. I took this class in a winter session btw.

Great teacher gives study guides for all tests and they are multiple choice if you struggle with math I suggest to get the book and study if not should be fine took him in winter so class moved quick but overall good experience

THis professor give you worksheets. the test are exactly like the worksheets but with different numbers. He send you the worksheets via email of each chapter . you are supposed to print and bring to class. he only goes through a couple from each worksheet but gives you a sheet with all the answer so that you could figure out at home as homework.. t

This is my 2nd time taking math 113z He made it so fun and enjoyable! Taking his next class and to those OSS students he is willing accommodate. The reviewer (in my class) argued with him and made things difficult cause she failed to study. She wanting him to give her the answers for the test she failed to retake. Awesome teacher! Highly recommend!

If you already understand Algebra this might be the professor for you. He is brilliant in Math and shows easy formulas but goes way too fast if you don't know the subject. Very arrogant and if you are an OSS student and need test accommodations I would not take this class. Worst nightmare of my life. So I will just leave it at that.

Professor Aka is pretty great. At first glance he seems strict, but he is actually pretty easy going, just don't show up late to his class!! He is very informative and I was very content with how he broke each section down. His tests are pretty easy and mostly multiple choice, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't study. Wish he was teaching 125

Excellent professor. Very helpful and clear on the lectures. Has a great sense of humor, friendly, and patient. I recommend him to anyone who is having trouble understanding Math. Exams are from his lectures and easy because it covers the basics of each chapter and doesn't get deep into those very long equations. Overall a very wise guy.
