I really enjoyed this class. It provided a nice introduction to economic issues from a First Nations perspective. Darwin was very approachable and was always available to answer questions.

Comment:

I thought his lecturing was alright, though he's clearly not a natural public speaker. I also liked how he worked in class exercises which got us all discussing. However, he was without a doubt the hardest, most unfair marker I've had so far. His question for the paper was so broad it was almost impossible and then the marking was insanely low!

NEVER TAKE THIS!!! This was the worst class I have ever taken in my entire academic career. This man should not be allowed to teach in a university. He is completely unclear and speaks in personal pronouns when discussing class material so you don't feel you can have a dissenting opinion w/out personally offending him.

I was rooting for him, but he's just an awful lecturer. He seemed really nervous and it just got worse as the weeks went by. You'll get more from reading the material than going to the lectures. Has a really hard time interacting with students in class.

A veritable compendium of academic vices: confused, confusing, a grotesquely unfair marker, and his lectures are the rough equivalent of an overdose of heroin. He knows it too. He brings in his wife and kid just before you fill out the evaluations.

I think he is very knowledgeable and understanding of other perspectives. However, this class is on Indigenous Perspectives, so I think the intent of the course is for us to hear from the INDIGENOUS perspective. Very informative for sure.

He is a horrible lecturer - but, with respect to the other person who reviewed this instructor, Hannah is no more biased than any of the other professors at this law school - he has his perspective, but he didnt seem at all unwilling to hear other views.
