Comment:

The class seems really practical as it only meets once a week and has minimal work however the grading on the work is questionable. If you do the assignments expect a B on your best work. Expect pop quizzes close to every week and do not expect partial credit, NOT AN EASY ART CREDIT.

He's what made me decide to stay a cinema major. You've gotta work hard for the grade you want. He may seem very sassy, at times arrogant, but a one-on-one will definitely show you his patience, understanding and reassurance. He also respects students who are just as sassy back to him. Above all, never apologize, it's a sign of weakness

His dry sense of humor can sometimes be taken as arrogance but in actuality Dave is the easiest guy to approach. He wants his students to succeed and teaches on a common sense level. He is always available for questions and he likes to enjoy his students' personalities just as much as you will get to enjoy his.

Unfortunately not very impressive. I get the feeling that he couldn't quite make it into the film industry and is comfortable just teaching it, sometimes passing on his philosophy of negativity towards a career in film. Has a good reputation though.
