David Green is the best prof I've ever had. I think only BIE students get him from now on (lucky us!) but if you ever get a chance, take one of his classes. He is such a caring prof, and absolutely brilliant. I learned so much about justice/economics/life in his class. Literally have never had the motivation to rate a prof-- but he was exceptional!

Took 490 with him, he saved my bacon. Literally the best prof I ever had, really sad I took him during my last term at UBC. What a way to end off my economics degree. I learned more from him than any other ECON class I've ever taken, and he's always extremely welcoming during office hours. Honestly wouldn't have passed the course without him.

David Green is amazing! Assignments were hard, and tests weren't easy either, but he's really great at explaining hard econometrics concepts in an intuitive way. Some students struggle more so because of the sheer difficulty of the material, but I think he taught really well. Class was fair, and he scaled a bit too.

By far the best Economics professor I have had the pleasure to learn from. He is extremely intelligent and knowledgeable in his field, to which he teaches and explains very well. Furthermore, unlike other professors, he genuinely cares for his students. Great Professor.

The course load is very reasonable, and instructionsnotes are clear that you would be able to do everything that's assigned. For the final paper, he will guide you through everything. Unlike what others say, he isn't a "difficult" prof, econometrics 326328 is typically hard. 490 Avg 81.

He's a good prof overall. However, his lecture was quit boring for me as an econ major student who already took both 325 & 326 and many other econ courses. 226 tends to be a very basic stat course for non-econ major students. the homework was a pain:8 in total with each was worth only about 3% (I spent almost 8-10 hours on each of them)!

Great prof, very nice and approachable. The material got a bit complicated, but overall he did an admirable job covering it... albeit a few lectures were a bit confusing. Assignments are tedious and time consuming, and weren't worth enough to justify effort. Textbook was pretty much useless.

In my entire 4 years of undergrad, I have learned the most from this professor. He is very clear in lectures (esp reviewing econometrics if you feel rusty), organized, fair at marking, and helpful both inside and outside of class. At first the workload makes him seem like a hard prof, but the class average ended up being 81. Pretty awesome!

Best econ class for me so far! Dr. Green is funny and easily approachable =D Lots of assignments that do require a chunk of your time to do well, but you won't really notice the workload much because he's funny and his lectures are not boring at all!

Out of all the 2nd econ courses, this is definitely one of the best ones you can take. David Green is simply awesome! If you're interested in econ, you won't mind the assignments he gives. It's an easy 25% of your total mark!!!

Dr. Green is one of the BEST profs I've ever had hands down. He's very helpful, funny (or at least tries to be), understanding, and enthusiastic. He's a fair marker and will explain the material until you get it. He also tries to establish good rapport with the students. I recommend him 100%!

Green is awesome :) Stats is not the most fun course, but he makes it pretty interesting. Great sense of humour. Tests are very fair. He will also explain a hard concept clearly, slowly and repeatedly until the class gets it. Yes, the assignments are a bit of a beotch, but they help.

I think he is one of the best profs I've ever had. His lectures are clear, although not fun. You just have to ask him questions in order to understand important concepts. Be prepared to do an assignment nearly every week. The assign' take you at least 7h.
