This was actually for 61a, but it didnt have that as an option. Dont have too much to say. I will actively be avoiding this Professor in the future. Not great at teaching, pretty mediocre overall.

Cant say much good about this Professor. He clearly knows his stuff, just doesnt know how to teach it. Talks a lot in his lectures, but rarely in coherent strings. He jumps around a lot and it doesnt make for a good note-taking environment. Wish I had chosen another Professor for this course.

He tries really hard to get his students to understand the concepts rather than memorizing formulas and you can tell he really loves the subject. Mastering Physics was just unnecessarily hard, but just do lots of practice problems and you'll be alright

Alright professor. Lectures are so useless, just read the book and do practice problems. Lecture and discussion are both required but my TA, Sunny, was great. I have lots of complaints about the homework on Mastering Physics since it doesn't really help you and is just difficult and doesn't explain anything. Got C's and D's but curve brought to A.

Very fair professor. He is always willing to answer questions in class and responds to emails quickly. His exams are doable, no harder than the Mastering Physics HW he assigns. His lectures are more conceptual rather than example based so be prepared to do a lot of practice problems on your own if you want to succeed.

Decent professor. He introduced topics in lecture and gave good examples (had clicker questions). I had no prior exposure to physics but I managed by understanding how to do most of the hw on Mastering Physics since problems on his exams were never harder than those. He provides all necessary formulas for exams and his curve was generous!

Easy A if you do Mastering Physics without any help. His exams are easy and straightforward. He curves the grades by rank. This term, about 20 percent got A- or higher.

His lectures are pretty good, and he always leaves time for people to ask questions. He didn't do too many examples though. 1 midterm, 1 final. Tests weren't too bad (coming from someone who isn't the best at physics). His office hours are pretty helpful as well. Also, he hosts review sessions before each exam! Overall a pretty good professor.

He's not the most interesting lecturer out there, but if you asks for help, he won't ignore you. Tests are easy, straight from the homework and discussion worksheets (but somehow the average is still 50%). Try to stay awake in the lecture and write down important formulas, you'll survive. Totally recommend for an easy A.

He might not be the best lecturer in terms of teaching and clarification, but he sure is a very nice guy and has great patience towards his students. He would ask if anyone has questions before moving on from topic to topic. I learn the best not from his lectures but from taking notes from homework problems. Youtube videos also helps

He's horribly boring! But there are clicker questions, sometimes, so you have to go to lecture. He reads off his slides and gets really impatient with people who ask questions. His tests seemed impossible to me, but I also had trouble with the homework. His equation sheets are useless. You'll have to memorize all of the equations.

The physics dept talked to him, so trust me he has improved his behavior so ignore all the neg reviews from years past. His lectures are boring, but tests are straightforward if you really understand. Should read book to understand concepts and do mast. physics.

I thought this professor was very clear in his lectures and reading the book before lecture is recommended to do well in his course. Tests are to the point. Do the homework problems, read the book, and go to lecture - only way to be successful in his class.

The concepts may be tough to get in lecture at the last third of the quarter, but this is where reading and understanding the material help. Do the HW (not necessarily the optional ones if you truly get the concepts)and utilize your tutors. His exams are often straightforward and knowing the formulas goes a LONG way. He is quite enthusiastic too!

I would avoid this teacher. He really does test you on everything which can be a good thing and a bad thing. Details are rather important. There is a lot more to memorize due to a crappy formula sheet he provides. Ended my physics series on a bunch of sighs. The book do not help too much either. I am just happy that I am done with masteringphysics.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! Did not learn ANYTHING and his lectures are useless. Used the book to teach myself and was forced to attend lectures because of clickers. WORST PROFESSOR I have EVER had. Doesn't appear to like his students or teaching for that matter. AVOID AVOID AVOID and take physics with ANYONE ELSE!

He's not bad. He is not very enthusiastic, which is why I think he gets low rating by everyone. But his exams are short and to the point. No trickery. Usually a couple questions per chapter and 3 short answer questions. Homework is graded heavily, which can also help boost your score if you did bad in an exam.

He didn't post the syllabus until the class ended. A professor who definitely doesn't care about teaching and the success of the students. Absolutely the worst professor. He made the placement exam "his version" ridiculously unreasonable. His test was purposely done to make sure that you are bound to make an error.

There comes a time in every students life where he confronts a teacher that is simply... a d*ck. This is one of those times. This man is a GPA killer that cares for nothing more than his research. If I was given the option of falling behind in a class and taking his class, I would be a 6th year. Worst professor I have ever seen. Do not take him!
