Comment:

Dr. Knight is the best professor I've ever had. One of the kindest, most understanding people I've ever met. She is VERY clear when giving instructions about an assignment, easy to get in touch with if you have questions, and gives great feedback. She is reasonable when assigning reading and she is so passionate about the literature. Love her!

Comment:

Dr. Knight is very wise. She is compassionate and kind. She is lovely to talk to. However, she is a very TOUGH grader. If English is not a strong subject for you or if you struggle with essays I would not recommend this professor for you. She is strict on grammar but will help you if you go to office hours. Overall she is very kind but tough.

Professor Knight is hands down the greatest professor in the English Department. Between her outlook on the world and her desire to assist each and every one of her students, you will not find a professor who cares more about you than her. Do the work, respect her experience, show her your writing ahead of time, and I promise that you will succeed.

Professor Knight was an absolute pleasure to have as an instructor. From her humor to her insight, as well as her immense support, she is a must have for any student. Her grading can be tough - that is expected at the 400 level - but she will work with you if you put in the effort. Cannot wait to be in another class with her!

Dr. Knight is a thorough teacher who believes in giving her students the most comprehensive lecture she can on a subject. Some people take that to mean she thinks they're stupid. She does not. She just naturally expects students to be as interested in knowing everything about the subject as she is.

Ugh, I have had Dr. Knight for a couple classes and everyone thinks she is so nice. Well, I am a straight-A student and she just gets on my nerves. She is a tough grader, her reading selections could choke out whatever possible interest humans could have for literature and she expects you to write good essays on it. Just take Dr. Stone instead.

I love Dr. Knight, she is such an amazing person/teacher. She is always more than willing to help her students in any way that she can, whether it is related to her class or not. She is definately one of the most helpful, caring, and compassionate people I have ever met.

SO easy. I love Dr. Knight but she does treat you like 9th graders (though in most cases, this is appropriate). Tests are easy, papers are fun, class is ridiculously easy but can be a bit boring because she doesn't expect students to know much. And sorry Cortland, but most of you do not care:). She is wonderful though!

She's extremely upbeat ALL the time and it can get a little annoying. Two papers, an in-class essay and a final paper. They are graded pretty tough so you have to know what you are doing. She's a nice lady though and she'll help you out.

Dr. Knight is one of the best and most helpful teachers that I have encountered at Cortland. She goes out of her way to make herself available to help her students. Loved this professor. She is wonderful. Dr. Knight goes out of her way to help you. She is very approachable and easy to talk to. She is one of the best professors I have had at Cortland. I highly recommend taking her. I had no trouble with the essay(s) or tests. The reading is not taxing and most of it is good stuff. Take her you won't regret it!

she directs discussion in a way that she wants you to answer it HER way. otherwise, the material wasn't bad and it wasn't a hard class to pass. just make sure you read because she randomly calls on you. she was alright, her stories would make me laugh at her. at.

Dr. Knight is a terrific teacher, and for a writing intensive this class could be much worse. I was skeptical at first about reading about women in literature all semester, but it turned out to be really interesting, and she explains everything very clearly.

I had Dr. KNight for 3 different grad classes and she was my advisor and thesis advisor. She is the best. She expects you to work and not coast. I consider myself lucky to have maanaged to get a Master's degree and only had to take 5 professors.
