Buys is AWESOME teacher, I recommend take his solfege 1. I did 1 and 2 and it helped me a LOT. I really didn't have problem at all when I took 3 with Stratis. Also He's a nice guy... just not in the classroom.

Buys was a horrible teacher. He treated solfege as if it was a life or death experience. He knew just how to makes everyone in the room so terrified of sight singing that they wouldn't be able to do their best. Some people who are already great at solfege should be fine, but anyone who struggles in the least bit should chose someone else.
