She will take off 1% of your test for every instance of poor penmanship. She told us about the extra credit on the last day of class and said it was too late. She starts class before the hour begins. The day before quizzes, she goes over the vocabulary in class. Her grading criteria is flexible as mentioned below, but she will make you work for it.

I speak Russian, however my reading and writing was very slow prior to her class. For a "native speaker" like me, it was very helpful the way she presented the written language. I diknow how to write in script and learned from her. She is excellent.

I had no experience in Russian at all, and was very worried when I first started the class. But she is a wonderful and understanding prof, and teaches at just the right pace. Do your homework, visit the language lab, and try to participate. The native Russians might make fun of your accent in class, but there's only one way to learn a language.

She is relatively easy, but if you don't at least have some russian speaking experience the class might be somewhat challenging. She is pretty lenient with the grading, maybe overly so, as she lets you drop two things out of 8 or 9. I enjoyed her class

A very kind and helpful professor. This was a beginners class and she was always patient with those of us who were not catching on easily. She also provided us with a cultural background to go with the language instruction throughout the semester and showed some interesting films.

i took her for russian for two years and she is pretty lenient in the grading department. She drops an exam , and a quiz. Her quizzes are super easy just basic vocab translation. She assigns hw which if you wanna get an A , you should do. The best part is that she lets you drop two items from ur syllabus like hw, or attendance or lab and you drop 2

The best professor ever, she allows you to choose two things out of 8 and drop them... I dropped attendance and hw... I only attended her class a few times through the whole semester, got an A :) Higly recommended!!!

Easy A. Shes very helpful if u dont understand something and her tests are really easy. You may not have to take the final if u do well in all other areas (hw, quizes, exams). highly recommended.
