I recently came across a very harshly graded paper from Dr. Nap, and nearly 10 years later was taken back to how degrading he could be, and how unconstructive in his criticism. As an English prof, he should know how to phrase things properly to nurture growth, but instead opted for saying what "a good writer" would have written. Backhanded a bit?

I loved him! He is the best professor I ever had! I had him over a decade ago, and I still think fondly of all the classes I took with him. He was really hard on me, but he taught me to write, and I thank him for that forever!

Had Dr. Nap back at the turn of the century, great teacher, loved the material. Sure, he makes you work and grades "like Hitler" - but it makes you stronger, grasshopper. Nice man, fine teacher.

Dr. Nap was an absolutely wonderful teacher back in the day. I don't even know if he still teaches or if he's strictly administrative now. But when he was in the classroom, the subject matter came alive. I would go back to college again just to take him.
