Worst teacher I have EVER taken. Definitely don't recommend her. Very unclear, skips a lot of slides and doesn't go over them(yet expects you to know it). Puts you on blast in front of everyone and gives you attitude. Don't ask questions because she won't answer it,she'll just make you feel stupid in front of everyone. DO NOT TAKE HER !

Professor Cannon is what she likes to be called. Took her during Fall semester her attitude is bad, bad, bad. On another note she's is very easy. I read the reviews and thought I'd stay out of her way, but somehow she manages to pick with individuals no -matter -what. If you can do not take her because she will find away to start conflict.

one of the most condescending people I have ever met. Ask a question and get scrutinized for it and you will be wrong every time. But her class is also the easiest I've ever taken. Her papers are a joke and exams are all key terms and final project is a powerpoint. Take for an easy "A" and boost your GPA.

So far the worst experience in my college years. Made me feel like a fool in front of the whole class when I tried to add. Sometimes I'm afraid to ask her a question. She's super rude. I was told sociology was an awesome subject. Not here. Suggestion, don't take her class.

Great professor but really condescending. If you ask a question she makes you feel bad by pointing out how wrong you asked the question. She takes more time singling you out than she does answering your question. READ THE SYLLABUS! Read chapters she assigns, avoid asking questions if you can , and you'll do well in the class.

Speeds through Power Point and hardly stops for questions. Gets side tracked way to easily with topics not even close to Sociology. Terrible memory. Does not go into depth about any topic. Cannot explain half of what she wants to tell the class. If you want to become a Sociologist DO NOT take her.

Cannon is rude. She has a sassy attitude that comes off belittling. She doesn't seem to understand questions and makes it an ordeal to come up with an answer. I say, take another soc class for your prerequisite. If you have to take her, eh lol but either way sociology in general, is easy

She is human too, you just have to know how to deal with her strong personality. Other than that if you do all your work she is not hard. Just don't take what she says personal. Don't share personal stories. Don't argue, just agree, move on and do your work.

A good fourth or third of the class dropped because of her poor attitude. She jumps to conclusions without understanding your question and sometimes humiliates students in front of the class for little reasons. Does not give much time for note-taking. Book is needed to reinforce lecture.

One of the worst experiences I ever had in meeting not only a professor but just an all around person. She claims that her office hours she'll help you any way she can, yet she can't help to attempt in belittling you. Gives VERY little instruction and if you ask a question, she will refer you to the syllabus which lacks in detail. AVOID AT ALL COST

She knows so much about Sociology and its clear that she enjoys the subject, but she is VERY rude (u get used to it though). She will mock u, make fun of u, and point u out in front of the whole class if u do something incorrectly. Despite her character, she makes her lectures so intriguing & interesting. Definitely an easy A if u do what she asks!

Professor Cannon is a tough cookie. Knows her stuff and knows what to expect. Yes she comes across rude but as long as you keep your distance and GO TO HER CLASS EVERYDAY (EXTRA CREDIT POINTS) then your looking at an A in the class. Test are mainly all vocab related. Overall, rude and all she is a good professor. TAKE HER for an easy A.

She is very mean and you can tell that she doesn't care about her students at all. She creates her own guidelines about everything and expects the class to know them without telling us. Asked an opinionated question for research paper. Embarrassed me in front of the whole class for paraphrasing even though it's ok in most research papers.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Extremely rude, has no passion for what she is teaching. She is there for the paycheck and it is obvious. Ive never had such a TERRIBLE teacher. She will ridicule her students and make you feel like a piece of dirt. AVOID!

All I can say is WOW. This teacher is SO RUDE I cannot even fathom how anyone would want to learn sociology from her. She scares the sh*t out of people and glares right into your soul. One little mistake and she will single you out and yell at you. Its only the 2nd day of class and I already can't stand her.

Dr. Cannon can be sarcastic most of the time. Dr. Cannon loves to speak about how the African Americans had to work hard for their equal rights and mostly speaks of the...true you need to attend her class for extra points, extra credit is great idea to help with the grade and the paragraphs basically are quotes from the book. Keep up w/ her for A!
