I didn't expect all of my colloege classes to be easy and this one was most challenging. However, it challenged me to prepare, to be clear, to reflect and to maturely accept criticism. I didn't like this class as I was taking it, but, in retrospect, it was excellent and Brother Emery was the reason.

I didn't find Mollenhauer helpful at all. He is an older professor who does things stictly his way. I had a problem with my book in the beginning of the semester and he put me on the spot! After telling me not to return to class unless I had the book, he threatened to fail me because of my absenses. Thanks alot!

hard to get an A in his class. if u say the answer wrong in class, he will kinda insult u n if u take 1sec to think, he will say i appreciate you for tryin but we dont hav time.wont go over much.just read some parts of the stories he assigned students to read b4 class. exams- bad,giv excerpts frm the stories n poems n write abt it n author n title

I had Br. Emery three times as an undergraduate. He's a great man and an awesome teacher. Students who are in school to drink and party loathe him. Students who believe in scholarship and are there to learn love him. He's incredibly tough, but in all the right ways. I'm glad to consider him as a friend and mentor.

Awful teacher. He never really seems to know what he is doing, and in turn, takes it out on his students when he is flustered and confused. I often wonder why he is even at the university anymore. I think he may have been better when he was younger, but at this point he is so old that he seems like he can't do much of anything.

Liked the class a lot. He is a hard grader on papers, but he writes a lot of comments to help you on future papers. Midterm was kind of hard, but I didn't study a lot but I was better prepared for the final. I learned a lot, and he is a smart but strange guy. I liked having him as a prof. If i can take him again in the future i probably will.

Nice guy....um in his own strange way. Not a great class but his outlook on life is interesting and worth experiencing. Makes you feel dumb one minute and compliments you the next...I don't regret taking him.

Decent teacher and a nice guy. He can be sarcastic but don't take it personally. Tends to go off on tangents which can be annoying. Kind of a tough grader, but lets you hand things in early for extra credit. If you do you work and participate, you'll have no problem.

mollenhauer is a boring teacher. he likes to make people feel like idiots and goes off on tangents telling you how you are wasting time when really he is wasting time by explaining how u are wasting time and in turn, not answering the question. really annoying, needs to retire.

This man enjoys causing pain! I did get a "B" in his class, but he is impossible to work with. He will grade your writing, pull it apart and insult you, but will not help you write better. He just expects you to know how to fix your mistakes. If you knew how to fix it, you wouldn't be in the class!

This man is bitter. If you're in the hospital getting surgery, he STILL won't let you make up his midterm. He's extremely old-fashioned, and by that i mean he "puts you in your place" -- in front of the whole class.
