She is fabulous! She is challenging and focuses on very interesting ideas. she also uses many teaching methods and likes class discussion over lecture. she does though give a lot of reading for HW. Learned a lot! ...Lot of fun!!

hardest professor, she treats everyone like they are an english major even though she teaches common core classes, her grading system is non existent she grades and give no explanation to why you received a grade. hard to follow

I thought she was a great teacher. I was really challenged and enjoyed taking this class. I thought the readings she selected for us were diverse and enjoyable. The writings assignments as well as the assignments in class were also very creative and enjoyable. One of my favorite classes.

I had Major American Writers with Emily Todd. She was very interested in what she was teaching. She loved her books and was really understanding if you were straight with her about why you didn't read or do the homework. Its alot of reading, but she helps you out and gives you alot of feedback

Whatever happened to American Lit. her choices in readings left much to be desired. Toni morrison..why? tedious and not very interesting, I often felt as if I were in thirteenth grade...If she'd prefer to teach high school she should.

I had quite a few classes with Todd, so I learned how to deal with what often was a tough workload. Still, she provided some good overviews of American Literature. She is often softspoken and sometimes has some unrealistic expectations for 200 level courses, but if you have her for a 300 level course, everything works out perfectly. She's so friendly and helpful, but you have to approach her first.

One of the nicest and best professors I've had. Class is pretty easy - two big papers, a presentation and lots of reading/tests. She's really nice and very helpful. It's obvious she wants her students to succeed and will help you in any way you need. Great class and great professor! Highly recommend!
