Comment:
I took Dr. Kroller's class for my seminar, and I really enjoyed her. She was extremely knowledgeable about the texts we read, but also had lots of outside information she would bring up, like pop-culture references. She was honest and caring. Because this was a seminar she would call on students to participate, so expect to read before class!

Dr. Kröller is a wonderful professor. Her lectures are detailed and insightful. Her course is rigorous and organized with lots of reading; you will have to put in work. She provides incredible amounts of feedback on assignments, allowing you to pinpoint where you need to improve. She can seem cold, but will warm up to you if you put in the effort.

Dr. Kroller is a very inspiring woman, who is very knowledgeable in her field! Her classes are engaging and she inspires excellent discussion on the great texts that she chooses for our study. She really cares about her students and has made herself very accessible for help with material in class and beyond.

The most boring, painful, pointless class I have ever taken. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS, unless you like lectures that have absolutely nothing to do with the course material, honestly I don't even know what she is trying to teach here. LOTS OF READING, irrelevant and boring material. ive gained nothing out of this class & would never take this again

Comment:
Extremely uninspiring. Lectures are bland and often go off on tangents that do not relate to the readings whatsoever. Readings are often over 50 pages, so be warned. Rather cold and passive aggressive towards students. Do not take this class if you are simply looking to fulfil your literature requirement.

This class does involve a lot of reading, though some of the stories are pretty interesting! Kroller does not use lecture slides, and make sure you do the readings before class because she might call on you when discussing the texts. She isn't too harsh of a marker, but her comments can be very critical. She's also not too approachable.

She is probably the most boring teacher I've ever had. She doesn't make the class fun or engaging at all. Most classes consist of her just talking and making me want to sleep. Also, you always have to be reading for homework. Some stories she makes you read are boring and can be around 150 pages. No thanks.

Wasn't really sure what to expect from this course. This course was really structured like a high school planning course. Great GPA booster. However, if you've taken ANY upper level courses chances are you won't learn anything new from this course.

Gives useful advice applicable to a range of real-life work situations. Tailors course material to align with students' professional goals. Wise, strict, considerate, has a good sense of humour, and cares about students' learning. Course requires a lot of work but grades are fair and useful feedback are provided.

One of my favourites so far. She challenges you, and you will learn what you put in. Long short stories, look up what novella means. She selects great material, she will demonstrate the most detail and context a prof can provide. Speaking up will help you, loves original interpretation. Happy to help when you ask. Provides extras in emails.

Dr. Kroller is the best professor in the English Department. She is on sabbatical for 2009-10, but if you can schedule her for classes I highly recommend it. She demands excellence, and devotes herself to her students. 350 characters is an insufficient limit to sing her praises.

An extremely intelligent professor who demands excellence. Nothing less than perfection will get you a good grade. A very mixed reading list, some books are great, some are awful. Be wary that Dr. Kroller is not the professor for the faint of heart, she's very no nonsense.

This is one of the most-qualified professors in the Department. She is outstandingly helpful, personally committed to her students, and contains a wealth of information and brilliance seldom encountered in these dull days. Her courses are not for the timid, lazy, or mundane; she demands a high-standard of excellence. Very Hot!

Extraordinary Professor. Not only does she know the subject material, but she has a passion for sharing her knowledge with students. She has high expectations and edits papers extensively, but marks very fairly and allows students to improve dramatically over the year. I highly recomend her
