Eve was not only a great professor but a great person overall. She goes out of her way to help students achieve. In one class that I had with her, she had us write reports on Maine artifacts. I wrote about the KKK in Maine; this completely changed my perception of my state. Eve helped be realize how imperative history is to our culture.

Professor Raimon is an AMAZING professor. She is very smart and willing to help you if you actually put effort into doing the readings and participating in class. People who do poorly and blame her for it probably didnt work that hard in the class.

I don't have enough space to say how much I love Prof. Raimon. She is so kind and so knowledgeable and will always give students the chance to ask questions and to speak. She really pulls on the class for participation, so you need to READ and PARTICIPATE in her class. If you do, it's well worth it. I learned so much and would take her class again.

Nice choice of texts for ENG 145, American Captives. The perspective of a captive ranged from domestic wives to African-American slaves to modern day prisoners. The flow between texts over the semester was smooth, and content stimulated vigorous conversation. Thorough writing feedback was provided on paper, and visiting office hours was helpful.

Eve is a great professor; her teaching style is perfect for ENG and WGS. If you want to be spoon-fed an education (looking at you, negative commenters) you dont belong in college. If you want to take responsibility for your education and pursue challenging, rewarding, and life-changing material in a supportive & respectful setting, choose Eve!!

She is very unclear about most aspects of the class. The class is called "What is Race?" Entering, I wanted to learn more about EVERY race. She only focuses on Black history in the US, no other races. She changes the syllabus often and will email you hours before class making changes to what is due for that day. She seems to be in her own world.

Ughhhh she was so confusing, basically wanted everyone else to teach the class and she seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. She didn't go over the syllabus once and really didn't care about the students at all. She was very biased and spoke openly about her opinions in class as if they were facts. Very annoying.

Assignments not clear. Grading is up to 2 months behind. Changes assignments last moment. Unresponsive to emails. Late posting assignments so you have a few hour window to complete them. Not organized enough to lead a class of University students. I would take my money back if possible -- She was terribly confusing and not worth it.

Just don't.. She's very aloof and seems to be confused about her own syllabus. Really doesn't teach much. It's definitely a teach yourself kind of class. Very soft speaker and at times seems to be speaking to herself instead of the class. If you can avoid this professor I would recommend it.

I really liked Eve's class on African studies. Yes she has a quiet nature but she is very intelligent and on a higher level then most of the students. You learn alot and if you have good class participation its a successful class for everyone

She takes attendance seriously. Also, participation is important and classes are more interesting when students give their thoughts/impressions/feedback. She is always looking for ways to engage the students and has a strong desire for them to share the same passion she has for the subject matter. Her writing suggestions are key.

She emails you a few hours before saying the homework does not need to be done, she looks like she is always on some substance and she pauses alot. everything is unclear and you are better off staring at a wall.

She pauses five to ten seconds in between each words. Talks very quietly, and managed to make an incredibly interesting topic very boring. She may be shy, but her teaching style needs drastic work in regards to interest, effectiveness, or relevance. I suggest, you avoid her.

Recently had the pleasure of taking HUM 342 (Women Writing Around the World) with Eve. I'd find arguing that Eve is anything but frank, unpretentious, helpful, and compassionate to be rather ridiculous. She consistently demonstrates respect for student intelligence as well as a thorough understanding of the course material.

Prof. Raimon's standards were exceptionally high, which made me continually strive to better my work. She taught me to think more critically and exposed me to literature I would otherwise never have known. More than this, she was the most fair-minded Prof I encountered at USM. I am much richer for having had her as an instructor. five stars!!!!!

I loved all the classes I took with Professor Raimon. I don't understand some of these negative comments, but this instructor was very understanding and helpful when I was going through a rough time. I never really knew how to write a college paper until I took her class! I am hoping to take one more class with her before graduation!
