I should have trusted my gut and dropped when I first saw her rating. This whole semester has been terrible and even the students who've managed to figure out the Access work and Excel on their own are getting a C. She nevers stays on topic and won't help you with your questions. She won't even use pwrpt or canvas bc she's "not good with computers"

This professor was awesome. She was intelligent, kind, respectful to the students, interesting, and encouraged creativity more than any other professor I've had at DVC. I got a lots extra credit during the semester. To get "A" you have to use her notes beside the books. Would take again.

Her lectures were very unorganized and hard to follow. The class is a waste of time... very easy material most people already know. Expect to teach yourself and have long lectures that are unclear.

She is not clear at all when she lectures. She knows her stuff but is horrible at teaching it. Never used the textbook. The midterm had material we never even learned. She never helped with programming. Overall she's a very sweet lady, just be prepared to teach yourself everything.

She knows a lot about computers, but she is not a good teacher. There are 2 tests and 2 quizzes, 10 assignments creating programs, one power point that you must virtually build a computer at the end of the semester, and you have to share articles related to computers. If you can get any other teacher I would highly suggest it!

She knows her stuff , she just isn't very good at teaching it . She uses terms that she knows none of the students know and just says "you'll learn more about that later" but it makes it hard to get what she's talking about when you don't understand the terms being used ! Will definitely avoid her in the future .

Ridiculously easy class, but you will learn NOTHING. All you will need to do to ace the exams are read the chapter summaries at the end of the chapters that are going to be on the tests. I do not recommend taking her unless you just need a free A.

she knows her stuff but is inconsistent in teaching it. She is completely obsessed with arriving on time and will call you on it in front of everybody which in turn is more disruptive than students walking in late.Same with cell phones.If a student wants to look at their phone let them, their grade can suffer why disrupt the class, dont punish all.

If you can get past the heavy accent shes actually really sweet and nice. If you get on her good side she gives a lot of lenience but lectures are a bit difficult to understand. Id deffinately call it an easy A class though

Very hard to get a hold of. She doesn't check her emails. If you give a call she doesn't call back promptly (if she does). If you need help with an assignment you have to make an appointment for her office hours which was only 1h/week right after class. class tends to get very boring and hard to focus.

Apparently if you turn in a large majority of the coding assignments (which she does not really teach you) and score 80% or higher on tests with extra credit work here and there, you will earn a C.... Also forgot to record my assignments so I ended up turning in almost every coding program twice. She needs to retire.

I have an average knowledge of computers and I got an A in the class. Youre graded on 3 tests, 10 programming exercises, 1 presentation and 3 article summaries. If you dont know programming that can be hard bcuz she barely goes over it in class. the part on conversions were hard for everyone but they r only a few quetions on the test so dont worry

Avoid this awful excuse for a teacher! I didn't want to take her but it was the only time that worked for me, I'm telling you change your whole schedule to avoid her. You can't understand her because her English is terrible and she doesn't understand you when you approach her with ?'s. She's not hard, but the worst teacher I've ever had.
