He is extremely disrespectful. He interrupts students if we ask questions. As a communications professor, you'd think he would be good at it but no! DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! He is the WORST!!!

This teacher is disrespectful. Awkward sense of humor. Gives multiple assignments all at once. Does not follow the Syllabus. Expects us to work on multiple paper for 20 hours each. Stole Study time from my other classes. Refuses to explain assignments. Worst Professor.

I really enjoy professors coley's class! He tries very hard to keep everyone engaged and motivated during his lectures. He is always available after hours and will make accommodations for you if needed. I am really glad I choose his course. His teaching style is a very effective method to learn. Be prepared to learn. You will like his course!

As a professor who teaches a course on communication, he is terrible at communicating his expectations on assignments to students. He's strict and finicky about his requirements and is disrespectful. I would not recommend his class.

WARNING: DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! He is the type of professor that is very wordy on his lectures, but doesn't get to the point(this also apply to the assignments;never clear on what he want us to do.) He has too much high expections for his students & never encourage his student to do their best. He is not a flexible professor.

The worst professor I have ever had! I honestly have no idea how this man still has a job. He is extremely unorganized and very rude at times. He sits back on his chair with his legs up and hands behind his head but then gets angry when we don't know an answer due to his awful teaching. Please do not take his teacher and save yourself the pain.

WORST professor I've EVER had. He is so disorganized, he even lost one of my assignments once and made me resubmit it. Gives sooo many assignments all at one time but never grades them in a timely manner or gives them back so that you know what grade you got on them. Makes rude comments and is super sarcastic which makes you want to scream.

No. No. No. Run. This entire class was a months-long exercise in gaslighting. LOVES to take 50% off on papers for tiny violations of the directions he prints in 10-pt font at the bottom of the paper. I had to give a speech, and I swear a piece of me broke and regressed back to a ten year old when I looked up and saw the mean look he was giving me.

Not a hard class at all. Turn in your homework, prepare for the speeches apply what you learn and you'll get an A. Follow instructions when you do any set up he gives you the format to follow so there's no way you should go outside if he hands you that and all you gotta do is change it to what your speech will be about. No hard at all just do work.

He leaves a LOT of work and he is not clear about what he wants. NEVER answers emails, and is rude from time to time. Forget about checking the time on your phone, does not allow any electronics in class and if he sees it he will call you out and have a "serious" chat with you.

Follow EXACTLY what the rubric says and it'll get you 100% on the assignment. If he wants something done a certain way, make sure you do it that way. The presentations you'll do are not as bad as they seem. He prepares you well enough for all of them. Make sure you read the chapters assigned and it'll get you an A on the quizzes. Overall easy class

Pay attention and take good notes and you'll be fine. Stay on top of all assignments if you want to do well. Interacting with other classmates makes the class easier. You'll give a few presentations but they aren't as bad as they seem.

He is so funny. There are no study guides. At first I had issues with the class but caught on and got an A. What he tests you on is what he covers in class. Do not memorize the definitions to the vocabulary but the real world meaning of it. For example heuristics means rule of thumb so that'd be for example righty tighty lefty loosey. It's easy.

Prof Coley is very intellectual, and expects everyone to follow everything to the letter. He doesn't respond to email EVER! He gives extra credit. His 3 quizzes are easy, one of them was open book. Get ready to give a few speeches! It's an easy class if you put in a little effort.

Professor Coley was an awesome instructor for my COMM 108 class this spring. At first he comes off a bit intimidating, but he's actually funny and enthusiastic in his teaching. It is important to keep up with the reading, because the tests are the most challenging part of this course, along with keeping up with homework.

READ EACH ASSIGNMENT RUBRIC CAREFULLY and you'll get full credit, (he's very picky). Don't underestimate the amount of work for this class. Just pay attention, complete the assignments, and you'll do fine. He's very passionate about the subject, which is good, but what he says goes. Just go with it.
