Took this class to fulfill a GE. wasn't hard at all. She puts the slides online so if you don't go to class you'll be fine. She does elaborate more in class, but you will still pass. Her class can get extremely boring if you're not interested in the subject. But it's an easy A if you just do the work and study, tests are mc, short answer & essay

MOM! enough said. I don't science, but she made it so I did well. Labs are not graded, but the tests are on them. So, make sure you correct your answers. 2 lab write ups. But it's straight forward.

Decent lab teacher for a subject I find boring. Labs usually don't last the full period, so that's a plus. What she taught in lab was often confusing compared to the lecture portion of the course (different terminology, etc). Doesn't grade exceedingly tough. Labs are frequently boring, though.

Gleason is extremely monotone and just plain boring. The class isn't necessarily hard if you're able to stay awake during her lectures, but if you don't go or don't pay attention you'll do terrible. BUY THE BOOK.

One of the best professors I've had at Cortland. She seems to honestly love the subject and tries to make class interesting. Attendance isn't mandatory but she does do in class assignments randomly. If you know everything on the review sheet before the test, you'll do fine. If you go to class and pay attention it's an easy A.

I loved this professor. She is awesome. The tests are easy and she tries to change it up so that you learn about interesting stuff in between the boring stuff. Definitely recommend her.

She is a great teacher. You will do well as long as you pay attention and attend the class and if you miss class just get the notes from a friend and read the textbook. i had no interest in science at all but she made geology intersting to me

I had her for Lab. Dr. Gleason is REALLY helpful with the lab. She really knows her stuff too. Go to class and do the work. I guarantee you will not have to stay for the entire class. Study for her Lab tests though. they can be tricky. just know your stuff! she is pretty easy-going and keeps the class interesting!

One of the easiest classes to take. Kind of boring at times, but some of the topics are pretty interesting. The tests are right from the notes and she gives study guides. You take the test by yourself then you take it again but you can use your notes, book, and other people. Good g.e. class to take.

Great Teacher, always offers to help when she is in her office. any questions before tests just ask and she'll explain it until you understand it. Her class was easy, just don't miss the lab. You can get done with most of the labs in like an hour if you ask her questions.

Science makes my eyes glaze over but Gayle teaches science as it applys to humans. Met with me once at my convenience b/f an exam. Fair sense of humor. Talks about her days at Berkley at lot. Uses as many in-class analogies as possible. Hate science, this was tolerable. Even learned a thing or two.

I had lab with her and she was never very clear. She's probably a good teacher, but if you have the actual class with another teacher she still will go by her guidelines leading you to not understand 1/2 of what she's trying to teach. Only take this is you want to become a geologist...
