I found it to be in poor taste that he required the class to purchase a textbook that he wrote himself. Lectures were scatter-minded and hard to follow, his pace for the class was routinely behind what the syllabus outlined, and the final grade was determined by only five grades.

Aside from not being very good at teaching, I do think he is very immoral. He makes it mandatory to buy a book he wrote that is very expensive. In order to pass you have to read from his book to understand the course. Would not recommend this Professor to anyone.

I took an online class with him and he was very delayed on response time it took four emails to finally hear back when I was only seeing if my mid term had been submitted and I got no answer until he graded it a zero and then proclaimed I didn't have the book and used the internet. Wouldn't recommend him

Took a hybrid course with Professor Tischler, so class once a week and then an online assignment due before class the next week. Homework is never more than 3 easy questions and the class itself is basically a discussion course, no notes ever. Exams are just your homework questions so they're super easy to pass. Overall an easy class.

He is a boring professor! Only thing good about him is that he gives you study guides that are basically the 3 exams. He says attendance doesnt matter but on the last day he grades you on attendance and participation. Even his faculty members think he is trash.

He's a really nice guy, his lectures are kind of boring but he tries to incorporate his personal experiences which makes it more interesting. Make sure to do the study guides because most of the questions there are on the actual exam. He shows interesting videos. Read the chapters and just try to pay attention, if you do that its an easy A.

A class where attendance isn't necessary. Study for the tests based on the books - not the lectures, because his lectures aren't clear. Make sure you do the online homeworks (there are three).

This class is easy if you can read the book, teach yourself the information, and do good on tests. His lectures are boring and do not make any sense. Your paying for a book and a test in this class. Easy A if you don't mind sitting through boring lectures

Tischler was an okay teacher. His classes were really boring but he wrote our textbook so he knows what he's talking about. The material isn't too difficult but somehow the tests are a bit hard. I only got a B+ when I thought I could have gotten an A.

I took him for Social Deviance and he made it obvious that he had no idea what he was doing. He even admitted that he uses notes, power points, and tests directly from the book's manufacturer. He cancelled class all the time and did no relevant lecturing, on top of being boring when he did talk. This class was bad, period.
