Comment:
Professor Strader is an excellent teacher. He doesn't hide the ball. The course isn't easy, and you have to work hard because some of the concepts are difficult to grasp, but if you take advantage of office hours you won't be disappointed. Also, without doubt the best discussions in law school were in this class, they really made you think!

Comment:
Professor Strader treats his course like a game, expecting students to compete with one another in parts of the course that do nothing to impact your grade. Office hours are also useless. Do practice exams, and you'll be just fine.

Tough professor who is super knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. Highly organized presentation of concepts. No ball hiding. Will clearly teach you what he wants you to know. This professor provided excellent TAs and extra practice sessions that were very helpful. Highly recommend.

Best professor I have had, hands down. Precise and clear regarding what he wants, so use office hours and T.A.?s (btw- he picks some good lookin T.A.?s who know what they are talking about). Read the supplemental material and keep everything simple.

I earned striaght A's, except for in his class, where I got a B. I was well prepared for the final exam, but he gave out very few A's. He does not teach the material but expects students to figure it out on their own. He does not allow you to use computers in class, which makes it hard to take notes. Really bad professor

It would behoove him to realize if a class of 100 doesn't understand a theory, the problem likely lies with the instructor, not the students.

A very strict and orderly person. He seems to enjoy and encourage controversial debates. He was very good about preparing the class for a difficult subject - access to TAs, many review sessions, many office hours, and a practice mid-term. His classes are enjoyable.

BY FAR, THE BEST PROFESSOR AT SOUTHWESTERN! He is a perfectionist, which makes for the best kind of professor. He is brilliant, organized, gives you the law better than any hornbook, commercial outline, cd, casebook, etc. He is also humble (a rare breed!), helpful, and gives several review sessions. I wish I had him for every class!

Best professor ever.I was a student of Strader's in 1993.I've been an attorney since 1995 and much of my success today is due to Strader's style of teaching. He terrified me,but more than that he challenged me."Know how to make the argument" was the best answer he could give because so much depends on arguing your case well regardless of area of law

THE BEST PROFESSOR AT SOUTHWESTERN THAT I HAVE ENCOUNTERED. Extremely approchable, brilliant mind, & humble (a trait not often found in law professors). He is extraordinarily helpful if you make an effort. Perfectionists make good law professors even if they are unrealistic about your answer to one of their questions. FANTASTIC TEACHER!!

He is a very good professor. Very clear. But beware, his final exams aren't easy. He teaches you clearly and he expects that to be reflected in your understanding of the law.

Strader was one of my favorite teachers. I especially liked the seminar structure. I found that I learned more in his crim law seminar than I learned in any of the regular classes.
