14 quizzes/14 trip quizzes/1 final. Pretty easy to get a B, it's just that all of the quizzes require you to do experiments at home, which sometimes can be hard to do. 3 quizzes dedicated to rock identification, not really fair. Final is based off general questions of the course and a few lab questions. Advice: take it in class for sure to get A.

This lab does take up a lot more time than I expected. Open book quizzes and final and optional field trips.The chapter quiz about rock indenification was horrible.Prof. Ruhle was very helpful and responded to e-mails very quickly.I ended up with a 'C' in this class, I probably should have taken it in person because I am more of a visual learner.

Prof. Ruhle is great! Very nice! A lot of work for a 1 credit class, but doable. 13 quizzes, 3 field trips (taken on your own), and the final. He gives you all the quiz Qs in advance! Final is a breeze! All Qs are from the quizzes. 3 of the quizzes were rock identification, frustrating (for me)! But got an A though. I'd recommend him.

Reponds to questions quickly. Nicest prof I've ever had. Some of the questions in the lab book are confusing. Couple of quizzes are really hard because of rock identification. Join a study group.

Mr. Rhule is a rockin' guy! I didn't think I liked geology, but took it online-wow, fun and easy and You actually learn a lot. The kit comes with a rock that you get to keep. Take him, if you need a lab course, you will not be sorry. he is very response to email and to his online class.
