I was DREADING this class, because I hate public speaking. I took a 9-week class with Mrs. Lenoir and am so glad that I did. She is super cute! She's really sweet and by far my favorite teacher ever. Only 2 major and 3 minor speeches and a group presentation at the end. She made me feel so comfortable giving the speeches and I got an A! LOVE HER!

Just to clarify, "Mrs. Lenoire" and "Mrs. Sparks" are the same person. And yes, the class was everything a speech class SHOULD be, the shyest person had no problem presenting due to this awesome and incredibly nice teacher. Without a doubt, take her.

she is awesome. i took her class on fridays so its like 8-11 but she made sure we are having fun..you don't get intimidated by your classmates because she stresses on respect and she is really interested about your topics. she inspired me with her life's story and she is funny...

I can honestly say that she is one of the greatest teachers I've ever had. She's a nice teacher and a nice person. You do have to read the book to do well on the tests (theres only two/ 30 questions each) but as long as you do your speeches you could afford getting a C on the tests.

i was so afraid of public speaking, my voice always quivered and i never lost my fear of speaking. But having taken this course has removed the terror of having to speak in front of the class. I never believed that i could complete my degree because "Speech 100" is reqd. Jamie Sparks is an amazing person, beautiful inside and out. Take her!!!

I simply adored her. I took her 3 years ago and a lot of what she said in that class stuck with me. I used to be terrified of talking in front of a class but she helped a lot by reminding us that public speaking is the #1 fear. I'm thankful I took her because once I got to CSUF, the two 45 min. and several 30 min. presentations were so easy.

She is a wonderful professor, one of the best I've had. I took summer. 4 minor speeches (2-3 min each) 3 major(5-7 min each) 2 exams 2 projects: 1 individ 1 group a few hw assignments. she's great, makes the class fun, energetic, happy person. I was nervous and she makes it easier to get in front of the whole class. I didn't really use book at all.

You know, one of the "fun" professors. Makes friends with the students and has fun activities. Makes a required class (for csu transfers) interesting and fun. It's a speech class so obviously she's going to make you participate.
