Business 212 (aka Business Communication) is a valuable business writing class as the tools/skills you learn are practical HOWEVER, Mrs. Lawry isn't the easiest but if you pay attention CLOSELY you'll get through it. She is tough, but fair.

Difficult professor. She cares more about format than content. She refuses to help you and tells you to ask a classmate. She does not lecture! No work experience? Prepare to have your self-esteem lowered since you have to do a resume. Hard five-page research report that is irrelevant to the class.

She gives you a print out at the beginning of class, and if you follow that to the T, you will get a good grade. Expects alot and half the points in the class comes in the last 3 weeks, but the class is only out of 1000 points. A couple of her writings serve no purpose.

Really unclear her method of grading assignements doesnt allow you to know what you did wrong. Cant really take notes in her class. Just an overall bad experience with this teach do not recommend her at all

She seems more interested in playing games than teaching a class. She is very unclear about what is required on her assignments and will not give feedback. She consistently loses assignments and is prone to attack students and even threaten to lower their grades if she is confronted about her inadequacies as an instructor.

Unclear about what she expects out of the class. One time lost the entire classes assignment. She sent an e-mail on the weekend notifying us to resubmit the assignment. The class attempted to give her the assignment on that Monday but she would not accept it because we had not sent it to her by e-mail although she never stated that.

Ok,for the over-achiever in all caps down there,BULL!I'm all for a challenge but geez!The whole point of the class is to learn what and what not to do.And you can't ask a question when you have no idea what to look for,especially if she's picky about what's being done.You can't ask,"Exactly what the hell do you want lady?"Can you? So RUN AWAY FAST!

The class is not that hard, but she does assign projects together. There is a 10 page report at the end and she is not very clear about it. She is somewhat sinic and not very helpful. She wants the class to ask question always. She will leave information out so that the class does it over. Good luck with her. I dont recommend her.

I have no idea why some think that she's horrible because she is a very nice, happy teacher. I see no favorites in our class what-so-ever. The class assignments are all on a sheet of paper that are all by the book. Nothing hidden, no tricks. Oh and she does give out candy to help us type faster :)

Not a fair grader. She has favorites. Very selfish when it comes to her class. She does not consider what other responsibilities her student's may have such as family, husbands, children, FT work. You will learn a lot but if you are not patient and relaxed you will be stressed out.

Dont mispell anything. spell check works 60-70% of time group partners are not as competent as her she dosent always catch errors take assignment to writing lab for them to say we can only focus on one area. can redo papers. everything must be completly done. high standards. bonus points 4 her f ups.

She is a horrible teacher, avoid her at all costs. She's unclear and tells her students to do way too much homework which is due about almost every class. She is really inconsiderate if you have a family, a job , or other classes to worry about. she is also BIASED. so if you take her you must have a pre-req in kiss ass 101.

She is a great professor. Her dry sense of humor can be easily mistaken for sarcasm, but she is great. She is usually patient and willing to help you out. just don't look at the keyboard :)
