Very helpful professor, she tried her best to answer questions outside and inside of class. You may be freaked out by the result of the first exam but the next ones will be better. Would recommend!

Very fair grader, gives a curve or extra problems if there was an issue with any of the test problems, almost everything is done on Wiley plus. Do your homework and you'll be fine.

Comment:

Accounting is dry but she makes it as easy to understand as possible. Wiley plus homework and quizzes which you can use Cheg for help. Tests are almost 75% of the final grade, but they tend to be easier than the homework. She does review for tests and tells you what to expect and is very true to it. No surprises and a very good professor.

She grades the course off a point system, half of your grade comes from wileyplus, other half from in class tests. She's easy to understand and the adjunct professor this year was pretty helpful. I had her for financial acct and she was such a good professor, I took her class this semester for managerial. She's one of my favorite professors here.

Abbott is a tough teacher/grader. Never again am I taking her class. Haven't taken accounting in a year and a half so this is a very tough semester for me. Future students, BEWARE.

This class was iffy for me. I like Professor Abbott, but she got a lot of the material wrong and she sped through her powerpoints and lectures. I was confused a lot. The tests seemed a bit hard for me. Expect to buy WileyPlus for $125.00 and that's where you do HW, quizzes, and 1/2 tests. That actually helped me learn. I did not mind the class.

Dr. Abbott is a really sweet woman. I've had her for two different classes and is very helpful and caring. She is a bit soft spoken at times but gets her point across. Definitely take her. I wouldn't say shes hard but not easy either. She's fair and makes a lot of sense. A suggestion for future students do not play on your phone during class.

During lectures she teaches the wrong material and mixes up facts to the point you're completely confused. Students have to help her through lessons. If you want to teach yourself accounting, then take this class. Exams are worth 70% of final grade, so if you're a bad test taker your grade will suffer even if you have aced everything else.

She is a decent teacher, and knows a lot about the course and the information involved, but she acts too much like a high school teacher. She gets mad when you are on your phone / laptop and will go out of her way to tell you which is really annoying. Her class wasn't too bad, but honestly it's not as easy as everyone thinks it is.

A lot of the reviews are deceiving. The class is a lot of online homework(@ least 1 a week) that take forever. Most quizzes online but some in class group quizzes. 4 tests where there's an online and in class part(you get a notecard).You need to read the book because she confuses herself and everyone during lectures. Not as easy as everyone says.

Professor Abbott is extremely helpful and sweet. She confuses herself sometimes while lecturing, but other than that, I would take her classes again and again. You are allowed to have a note card for each exam. One group project, but split up into four parts so it's not too stressful.

She was such a pleasant woman. She made concepts very easy to understand. We had quizzes and tests often and the corrections back in a timely manner. Prof. Abbot taught me so much and I would love to take another class with her.

Awesome teacher. She really cares about her students. If you try, and speak to her you will do well. I regret not trying harder, as she really isn't that bad test wise. She allowed us cheat sheet cards on almost all the tests, takes away the lowest quiz, group quizzes! Very awesome for accounting.

I am glad I took Professor Abbott for my Freshman Seminar class. She's extremely helpful and will always help out her students to the best of her ability. Make sure you do all your work and do well on tests!
